I own a 2j owered 1989 mark 3 supra.
Engine mods
Garrett T04z - custom manifold
Tial V44 Gate
Custom made Plenum
90mm Trottle body
Microtech Ltx12s - with controller
Custom dual enrty fuel rail with reg and walbro pump
550cc Injectors
eBoost 2
Usual Cooler - 600*300*76
Custom catch can
Drive train
A340E custom built by mv automatics (will be here in a few weeks)
Stage 2 HP Kit fully manualised with a 3500 Stally.
Rebuilt 4"11 torsen Diff
Outside
Wheels are 18" no idea what they are.
I run RE55s Semi's at the drags
Paint - pick a color its on there somewhere lol
Suspension - stock bilsteins plus front and back strut braces
Inside
Pretty much stocko accept for the 2 fire extinguishers

Damn, thats a weapon. Any idea how much power? And more importantly, what times have you run so far?
Yer mainly the intake temps when i was doing a mt climb with will he's intake temp was running around the 50 deg and mine was mid 30's. Bit laggier though bout 1-200 rpm.
So far i have run a 12.85 @ 106mph I hvae the new auto going in and hoping for low 11's high 10's
AS for power not sure
it made 400hp@wheels on 14 psi and its running 21, and will be tuned for 25ish when the auot goes in.

Auto will make crazy improvments to this beats, let alone that stupidly insane thing youre chuckin in it. :)
Only tip I think i can offer thats worthwhile: Get as much of the weight that you can the fuck out of the front and into the back ;)
Maybe look into borrowing some front runners to see the difference ;)
(Front runners suggestion is by no means from my experience though)
Nar 1-200 rpm not 1-2k rpm the manifold isnt thatmuch bigger LOL
Yer high end it feels better, its really hard to tell everyone that drives shits them selves as it hits boost :P

Doing the turbo upgrade at the workshop.. took me a whole weekend. The twins didnt want to come out, i think it was the fact the 2j is shoe horned in the a70's
I dunno what school you went to but where Im from '-' isnt the same as ','. Me thinks you should ask for your edumacation monies back :p
Anyways, looks sweet! Ive got a decent amount of footage from when you first put the T04z on and hit the drags...just havent made fancy yet :p

How did the R154 cope with the 2JZ/TO4Z combo? Did you break it?
I am considering using a built auto like you are chaning too AGAIN in my VK with the 2J for some reason even though I have the R154 and clutch already.

Small update.. It has been a while,
New motor is in, has been running 22psi happily for a few months. Have gone back to an R154 for the time being, Its currently getting a custom fuel and surge tank and a complete respray... Again (wasnt happy with my first attempt)
Also The Lights have been taken out .. yEs yes that were very ugly.

Umm there is 6 months between my last 2 posts.
Orginally i had an a340e from mv's, i blew my motor up bought a half cut, put it all back together with an R154 and sold the auto...
I can sell you a "shitty" R154 if you want ill take 500 for it but its missing 2nd and 4th gears...

OK went out to the drags last night for its first venture out in 12months (since i blew the last motor)
Ran 12.0 @ 124mph with a 1.97 60ft
Plenty of room for improvement so looking to head out again soon.

It has ben a few months since my car was running, but i have got it going again over the last week or so.
New additions
18" Black rims
MV Auto'sd Stage 3 A340E with 3000rpm Stall converter, B&M Pro Ratchet
Microtech has been re-wired and a Voltage stabaliser put in.
I have been driving it around on wastgate pressure (11psi) while i check everything is working. And everything feels good and strong. Will put it on a dyno next week to check the Afr's @ 24psi are still good (better to be safe then sorry).
Only problem so far is it spat a output shaft seal, but new one is in and seems to be holding.
Got some MT's and keen to hit the drags in a few weeks.

Hey Gav!! Only prob I see is that 3000 converter wont get you a good 60 foot. If that is the same converter as I had from MV all I got was a 2.0 60 foot. Changing to a 4000 got me a 1.6.

I will have to see how i go with the 3k, i am making boost at 2800 so i can stall into boost (just spins on the street). Cant wait to try when i get out there though.
You might be OK with it since you have a stand alone ECU. I could get almost a bar up on mine at about 3300 but it was still slow due to the shit torque hole sequential system tuning of the stock ECU.
I went to the drags last night and the results are as follows
Well it was an interesting result.. not one i was hoping for.
Got three runs in
1st
60ft - 3.1 (lol)
1/4 - 13.5

OK some explanation
first run i didnt hold the brake hard enough and it "jumped" and broke the lights which i didnt realise lol
Second run i couldnt get the car to stop moving forward.. made about 2psi at launch
Third run, this time i used the hand brake and launched at 7psi.
But on this run the burnout didnt feel right and neither did the launch...
Got to the finish line backed off and *Bang* clunk clunk clunck *Big Bang* car shunted to the left then the right and freed up again
I think at this point i just started laughing, got out of my car looked under neith it and oil comming out of the diff, i laughed a little more. My night was over..
Will try again when i get a new diff... but happy to be in the 11's

yep definitely need foot brake and hand brake
diffs are cheap for them, cunt of a job though as they weigh like 7,000kg... i near fucking killed myself pulling mine out 'back in the day'...
on the bright side the diff unlocked and you didn't go into the wall, which is nice.
11s at 124 is fairly hooting as well... in fact is this not our first 11sec supra? haha

Yer there is still a fair bit in it. It satlled to 3300 @ 7psi but was increasing quickly. The hand brake and brakes stopped it moving. I was just still testing the waters so i didnt keep stalling it up thought "that will do for this run" Unfortunatly the diff ended my night lol
Also to note the Mark 4 im racing is a singled powered 2j aswell... lol Mark 3 ftw :)
Was lucky the diff let go, was a bit scare with it shunting left and right while trying to brake form 200km/h+ lol

The fact i could drive it home alright, i assume the crown and pinion is alright just rooted the centre.
Looking at a TRD or Kaaz centre no more then a 1.5, they are $800 - $1100

I saw the vid, stalling it up forever in true VL turbo fashion. I had to do that too with the 2800. Its still funny as when the other guy goes like 3 seconds before you and you still win lol.

"WAS" (lol) A Mech Torsen LSD No its a very noisey open centre.
JZA70 torsens are good for nothing more than boat anchors...at least the stock clutch pack LSD's can be welded and made into something predictable

Well after tonights drags, its very clear my 3000rpm stall converter (waits for i told you so's)
AT full throttle stall it will only make 6psi and so i am only running a 2.1 60' - 11.8@123mph
So will be getting a 4000rpm next see how that goes :)
seen a few cheap single nozzle wet n20 kits lying around, 50 shot on the bugger, problem solved :)
i vote go 4k stall + gas + bigger turbo setup
even chair throwign motherfuckers can pick up hot chicks with a setup like that
Turbo isnt at its limits by any means. Hes having trouble building boost, last thing youd wanna do it upsize. (yet;))

Yer its not issues with power, just flat out under load stalling ti up only makes 6psi on launch wich gives me a lazy 2.1 60'.
I am finding out today about a 4-4250 stall..

I checked my '2800' stall again yesterday and I can stall to 3700RPM + on the street with handbrake and foot brake on.
I'm seriously starting to think something is wrong with my converter.
My 60' went from 2.1 etc down to 1.7 when I went from a 3000rpm to 4000rpm stall speed in my Aristo.
Car drove fine on the street too, didn't really feel like the converter was very loose at all.
I checked my '2800' stall again yesterday and I can stall to 3700RPM + on the street with handbrake and foot brake on.
