Hey all, new to the forums (obviously).

Car is a 1990 JZA70 Supra which originally started out as a Twin Turbo R. Got it uncomplied from Japan in December of 2005 in this state...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/spiller/117aa.jpg

being an 'R' the car came from the factory some extras such as:

Recaro interior
Momo gearknob and steering wheel
Bilstein suspension
(and a few other small things which i cannot think of atm)

modifications which i got with the car included:

3 inch cat back exhaust
K&N air filter
pivot adjustable headlight controller
17 inch BBS RG II wheels (9.5" wide rear 8.5" front)
momo RACE steering wheel.
spats front strut brace
apexi springs

after a bit of a clean this is how it came up

got bored of the factory twin turbo set up pretty quickly so i upgraded to a Hypergear TR44 with a 38mm external gate. people may or may not be familiar with this type of turbo, i had it offered to me at a cheap price as a trial and was very happy with the results.

I have dynoed the car once on the factory tune (to check AFRs which are very safe, and at 13 psi (wastegate spring) it made 221 rwkw. power comes on good, not too laggy but much harder than the factory twins (as youd expect).

along the way i have added cusco front and rear strut braces

also ditched the bilstein shocks for Tein HA coilovers (which were crap) and have recently changed to Cusco Zero 2 coilovers (which are great). the car now sits much lower and handles far better than it did.

the clutch that was in there when i got the car didnt like the power delivery of the new turbo set up and consequently fried. I replaced it with an OS twin plate (type TS2CD) which holds up just fine.

a few other things which i have fitted along the way include this cusco brake master cylinder stopper (doesnt do much on the street but got it cheap and it looks cool :p)

also recently bought some fidanza adjustable cam gears (from the US) which will go on when i can be stuffed.

to come in the future are a microtech, some bigger injectors (probably 550cc) bosch 040 fuel pump and a good tune. with 20 odd PSI hopefully ill get close to 300 rwkw. that may not happen for a while though because i am due to leave for 6 months overseas in June.

so thats it, sorry for such a mammoth post :p

cheers

Was a good post ;)

Love what you've done, and what the factory did with the interior ;)

The only thing i'd change would be the red dish on the wheels for a chrome / Alloy finish, leaving the centres black....which actually seems to be the current 'Fad' :)

^ive been saying since he bought it the red should be removed and replaced for black or polished silver, seeing they arent a "dishy" rim the all black idea would work much better...add some black tints and you got an evil looking devil car...all black

50% of people like the red, 50% of people hate it. since im in the 50% that like it, its staying for now :p. all black would look good but i want to ditch these wheels for some work emotion XD9s in far better offsets in the near future so i cant justify spending cash on having the lips painted black :)

thanks for the kind words all :)
