View Full Version : my Lil rx3
Some of you might know my car ive been doing the Saturday arvo sprints for a few years , Top gear is where i'm headed this year. It's a 13b pp built by Tony Stacey and tuned by Pete at redcliffe dyno .. feel free to comment , :knock:
Saw this advertised on my105 for quite the amount of time.
Any track times for us??
Sounded like it runs pretty crisp and clean at Minijam I actually picked it for a bridgey.
yes it was for sale for ages , till i bought it .. $12k insured now for a LOT more ... we have replaced everything mechanical exept the gearbox .
13b 51 webber fed PP .. 268rwhp
12.4 @109 mph .
Qr times ... im not giving that away so freely ... so if you're in the sedan class I'll see you in Quals ..... :o)

Whack a bridgey in it and race Improved Production perhaps mate ??
268rwhp from a 13B PP seems a bit low, a decent bridgey should be close to that. In sports sedan the bastards are too light - yours looks like a nice neat unmolested RX-3 so go I.P i reckon... :)
268 is genuine hp with a 51 webber not bad for a $2,100 engine ... ip would cost too much , but i was toying with the idea some time ago , always liked your cars too ..
Fuck, that's pretty impressive then mate - i spent about 6k just on parts for mine - and would have really had to wring it's neck (aggressive tune and rev it to 11 grand) to see 268 !!
I.P only costs as much as you want it too - just don't get too competitive and you'll be sweet... :D

I've developed quite a love for track orientated RX3's lately.
Quite tasty, would love one myself.

This car is a piece of shit. It gets beaten by Hondas. :D
Isn't that right Darren? ;)
And V.w's too ... dont forget them . the next top gear will be very interesting , ive looked at the times posted from the last one and i was there to watch ... i'm not going to be the last home thats for sure ...
It looks a bit like McFly bought it back from the ;80s but if it goes well then one can't complain :)
yes for good reason ... its a historic sports sedan .
Also fatboy ... its running 20 degrees advance with 268@ 9,000 rpm even the seals are seccond hand ...lol

oh, the seccond hand seal are Hurley racing seals ....
and at last count .. the last engine Tony built was for my old blue rx3 (won all motor 04) every dyno comp it entered , did 25,000 miles in my car , and 12,000 miles in my mates car up north and is still going strong .. we're looking at building a 20b pp in the future but not sure just yet .. we'll see how quick this thing is ..
3 weeks untill top gear ...
New front bar .. just a bit spesh
