Hi,

I know about the superstrut brake upgrade option, but is there anything else that is an easy fit and easily acquired?

Probably many easy conversions, but the Superstrut 2 piston is not hard and gives the best results.
What is the intended purpose of the car?

Just street car... its running a 4agze at the moment with the s2 sx brakes, but I find them fairly poor... I need something better for the fronts, however finding superstrut calipers for a decent price is proving a pain in the rear end, so I was wondering if there was anything else that'd fit and be easy to find - celica calipers maybe?

Celica calipers (Not sure if 2 piston?) and discs would be the go, however you will need to re-drill them to 4 X 100 .
Otherwise i believe the superstrut calipers are identicle to MR2 Turbo, as thats what pads i have in mine.
Try Just Jap at Kirrawee. I got the discs and calipers for $250 off a front cut they had in the yard.

It was a PITA for an AE82.

Its a lot easier for the AE92 isn't it?

Bearing carrier, disc and caliper - is that all I need?

If it already has the disc rear end .....yes.
If drum, you will need the knuckle, a lower control arm and the handbrake cables from a disc braked AE92/3.
