Another brake question for my Hilux. Ive fitted a 80 series dual diaphragm brake booster on it. The standard master cylinder has a 15/16 bore which Ive left on because I replaced the master cylinder not too long ago.

The braking has improved with the dual diaphragm booster, although my question is, should I upgrade the master cylinder to a 1" bore (standard on the 80 series landcruisers) or just leave the 15/16 master in it?

Putting on the 1" master cylinder will increase the pedal effort, but will it improve the braking further?

it will decrease pedal travel, but require more effort for the same line pressures and in turn stopping power.

smaller master will decrease pedal effort required but have longer travel.

if your pedal has excessive travel, then change the master, but if the travel is good (which it should be, if it has standard calipers and master) no point in changing.
