hi everybody

i'm in the market for new brake discs, and i was looking and asking around, and the only brand i found that made brake discs for my car, is hi-tec.
or, i could go to original rotors, which work fine, but tend to get damaged when the stock pads overheated and turned to shit. i won't be putting in stock pads, though.

but here's the thing, the price for the stock discs and the hitec is similar, but i haven't ever heard of the brand "hi-tec". and i read on their website that their brake discs are manufactured in china...

but anyway, has anybody got any experience with the brand hi-tec?

Link? Anyway they are probably a generic China job branded to order. Lots of that sort of thing around, brand name often is something new with no history.

not yet... the tracking number gives a "Your item arrived at the international processing centre in BRISBANE at 18:40 on 11 Sep 2009, and is ready for processing."

and there's nothing in the mail yet either..

If it's a generic cheap disk it could still last a while if you drive to avoid disk warpage. You car isn't auto is it?

it's a manny. but i'm not always a calm driver... the reason i'm thinking of getting off the stock rotors is cause they have overheated several times in the past....

of course, it might be better with other brake pads (A1RM), though...
