Intercooler and radiator cannot be displayed to public at this stage. lets just say that there is only like 7 inches of pipework from turbo outlet to intercooler inlet. And probably just tripe for outlet to throttlebody.

I regret to inform that this project, as of 17.10.15, is now officially scrapped.

I wanted to have some fun again, but, i've decided that the past should remain in the past. I wont be reviving another cordia. Been there, accomplished lots. It was a regrettable decision, but that's how it will stay.

I appreciate any patience.

However, i still intend to resurrect my RED DASH MONSTER CORDIA IN DUE TIME.

i thought you gave it up a month ago?

How does the cordia compare to such things as an Nissan exa turbo which I can also afford?

With intercooler mods I'd say I'd be in easy 14sec bit more boost and 13s?

Thoughts?

Without doubt the most dangerous and worse car I ever owned.
Traded it in on a Starion after 2 days. One of my favourite cars of all time.
You guys on here would of appricated the Cordia if I kept it because I honesty
feel it would of killed me within 5 days.

That's funny, I owned a Cordia MANY years ago that had well over 300whp, and it was perfectly fine... if frying the front tyres for the first 3 gears is your kind of thing.

If it would have killed you within 5 days, then I dare say it's probably more down to you as a driver.

I had one too. For 10 years.
Doing hills runs through Adelaide was always amusing, such as pulling up at the bottom of Belair rd on the handbrake (because front brakes cooked) and waiting at the traffic lights with smoke pouring out from the front wheels.

After my 3rd (2nd hand) turbo install I went for a quick drive to get it warm and check for leaks. Unfortunately I hadn't bolted down the bonnet the night before. It came off at about 80km/h and I just kept accelerating - fucked if I wanted that spearing into the roof.

I also recall having a leaking gasket on the injector feed hose. Rather than fix it properly I cut up the red rubber cap on the positive battery terminal and fashioned it into a gasket. It still leaked (although slightly less), so I bought a fire extinguisher.

That cordia is really neat, after you run 13s you should list it for sale in Japan, they'd pay big bucks for something that clean and fast.

Apart from the capacity, why is the dash motor so much better than the Sirius motors? Many years ago I had a 1.8 Sirius motor ( hence the outdated username ) in a sigma, head work, 13bt injectors, supra front mount, t25 with 20 psi, scorpion diff locked, multi point injection with haltech. Ran 14.1 and couldn't quite crack into 13s.

No, but I know the silver car well, along with the blue VR4 Cordia you're referring to.

My car was a bit of a weapon for what it was - it was sorted pretty well on all facets, but nothing like the Evo lol

Those are the ones I was referring to!! My mate owned and built the blue one - was bog-stock when he got it and it was actually the first turbo car I'd driven (28psi and FWD!) The amount of time and money he put into it was incredible.

It's since been sold and the new owner has painted it gunmetal grey. Looks good but the blue is still better IMO.
