I'm hoping to go. I gotta get some stuff to help get through scrutineering though. I remember someone suggested a radiator hose style clamp for the oil filter, and I'll need some kind of bottle to catch my radiator overflow, currently 'venting to the atmosphere'. If I can get these things, then I'll be heading down, so look out for a pale blue Mk1 Escort. A mate will be bringing his Pug205Gti - rego 'PUGGER', and another mate will have a stock WRX. I'm hoping to beat him. That's my only real goal.

Do you have a helmet? I don't and am looking to borrow one...

Any other tips to help get through scrutineering? (It's my first time...)

Scrutineering ... they look under the bonnet and make sure everything is attached and street legal. Check for any leaks. Tread on the tyres. Check your clothing and your seatbelts.

Sorry dewd I don't have a helmet though ... I always just have to borrow off mates! Just ask a mate with a motorbike!

But perhaps you could borrow off someone there?
