Methinks it was not needed, but it's the thought that counts. Though I can not help but think he did not get any on the tyres, the whole side of the car is covered in it!!

After much dicking around the 4.875 locked centre is now in the car. Seems to go quite well.

Heading out to QR on the weekend and will hopefully not experience the issues that plagued me last month.

So you can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse. Not many 125s around these days, thank god. Very tasty.

Well the last sprint day turned to shite pretty quick. Got 5 laps in before the car died changing it into 5th down the straight. Seems to have no spark... The 4.875 ratio works a treat though and I love going back to a locker.

Very nice and good to see someone keeping one of these on the road. My old man bought a new 125S in the early seventies when I was a wee lad. Kept it till the late 90s and I learned to drive in it.

5 speed gearbox, DOHC, 4 wheels discs. A car ahead of its time before Fiats turned to shite and the Jap stuff caught up. Last time I saw our car was in 2002 at Griffith University in Qld. It was white with rego PQS-155 if anyone knows its whereabouts (yeah I know its a longshot).

Yep, the car is all fixed. Turned out to be a power feed from starter motor to coil packs.

Just been buggerising around with the throttle. I was having trouble with it jamming. So the manifold has been off a few times lately. Throttle shaft has been realigned, butterflies skimmed a little and all is good. Seems to be getting full throttle now too.

Mick, can not say I know the car. That's close to where I lived back then. You see none of them about these days...

    That's an awesome shot Sam.

p.s - You should take it to the drags and see if you can launch like that.

hehehe... if I could I am sure it would be the only wheels up (& pipes up) full thottle 19 second pass.

At least then I could claim the quickest pipes up 2litre Fiat powered green 125 record.

Just got back from QR. Had an awesome day and finally posted a time that I knew the car was capable of, 62.97. I'm very happy with that, there may be more in it with some fresh tyres, though it remains to be seen if there's more in it for the driver!!

In the 4th session I had the best on track dice I have ever had with a (atmo) SR powered 1600 race car. He overtook me, than I overtook him, bumper to bumper. I got out of the car with a grin ear to ear. There'll be footage of it on You Tube later, the 1600 had a cage mounted camera.

I just updated the first page with some of my times at various tracks.

Yep, hopefully. Will see how things go with Leyburn. If all goes to plan I might enter the skid comp.

I'm clearly a litle biased, but I have always loved the look of it.

Here's the vid of the battle with the 1600. We were doing 63's at the time.
