    2jz Ke20

Thought i might throw some pics up of how my project currently sits, all the hard stuff is done now and the car is rolling again. I am going to attempt to slap it together for Powercruise in 9 weeks, i wont have time for headwork and cams so will just run it stock with bolt ons for now.

    Some specs-

-Stock 2jz, will eventually have Crower 280 cams and gears, springs, retainers, port work etc, want to try and screw some good hp from the stock bottom end, rods and pistons will follow when funds permit or they exit the building which ever comes first

-Mikes Transmissions Powerglide with all the fruit
-Autronic SM4, 500R CDI, Techedge Wb02 data logging
-Magnafuel fuel system, indy blue injectors
-Mr Turbos Billet 88mm turbo, Mr Turbos custom exhaust manifold, Tial waste gates and BOV
-Still undecided on intercooling, might slap an ebay 300x600x105mm in there temporarily.
-Shortened hilux locked differential, 4.3:1 gears
-Convo Pros 15x10s and 15x4.5, with MT Et Fronts and MT 275x50x15 Street Radials on the rear
-Andra spec 6 point roll cage, bars tied into leaf spring mounts, mc donald bros 2 link (not installed yet, awaiting new leafs to decide on pinion angle)

I am currently working on the brakes, reverse mount master cylinder and new lines etc.

    Here are some pics.

Bloody hell! I honestly thought the motor was an SR20 for a sec given the size of the turbo in that 1st pic. Good work.

Bloody server up again, energex just fixed the power issue.

Yep the 13b is gone, time for some piston power

I have a few mates that are both fabricators and sheet metal workers, they did the tunnel, firewall, mini tubbs and shortened the diff. The work is awesome could not be happier and best of all very strong they have a well euipped shop are looking at setting up a sideline business doing this sort of thing, aswell as alloy fab etc.

Sounds good, helps when u have mates in the industry.

Did you have to move your chassis rails in by any chance??

KE20s dont have a chassis rail as such, if you get one up on a hoist you can see the best place to cut the tub out, there is a nice flat section that will mate up nicely once 100mm has be trimmed out, by no means easy but goes back together nice. I am thinking about installing a connector from the front subframe to front of the leaf springs before i step the power up to much or chuck some slicks on it.

I can fit 305s under there but at the moment i am trying to keep to a tyre that is 26" tall max, will goto a 28" slick when the time arrives

    Very cool mate.

    I like.

    Go the Tojos.

I need to do a similar thing recessing the firewall in my crown to get the motor further back in the bay. Have you got any more shots of the inside of the car showing the tunnel?

Weight i am not sure on yet, with the previous 13b gt42r 3 speed jatco and borg warner diff with me (106kg) in it she was a heavy ol girl at about 2550lbs, actually that might have not been with me in it cant recall. The 2jz, big turbo and hilux diff are not going to help, i have however dropped a fair wack of weight shifting to convo pros, the glide is lighter than the jatco etc but then there is extra bar work, who knows, its certainly wont be super light and will still have saas seats, rear seats, trim etc.

I was on the scales after MR12A was on there one jamboree, it was 2200lbs with driver

Here is the clearest pic of the tunnel and bulkhead i could find, she's a bit dirty in there

13bvw - i got 2 spare 4" gonzo mufflers sitting here, might go dog nut style in the middle under boot floor, i am not sure whether spiral mufflers will work on a turbo, hoping because there are 2 and they are twin 3" tubes each it will flow enough anyway, should sound different.

Hey chuck, i just went and shoved a jack under it, got a few snaps in before i had battery failure note diff is not painted or welded to the spring seats as its currently sitting on some mock up springs, i need to get some custom made and determine the pinion angle before it all gets welded, along with the lower shocky mounts and the 2 link setup. What did you want to see?

Oh yes i realise i am missing rear calipers
