We made them ourselves, had forgings made and then machined them up in aus. Farken massive task in the end.

Am going to anodize them but not sure on what colour. We are sponsorless at the moment so might have to go something pretty neutral just in case we find a new sponsor.

ive always loved this car and the fab work you and your people do on it. At the risk of stating the obvious is it fair to say the average punter cant just buy a sports sedan and run it with off the shelf parts? 70%+ of this car feels like it was custom fabbed?

You could get a car and run for more conventional parts for sure, however you come to a point where it wont go faster. You'll get a seriously long way but for us we realistically are now setting gt lap times as the benchmark and you wont get there with conventional parts.

Has anyone ever had a serious crack with a floor pan EVO or GTR?

If so, were they miles behind the front runners?

Production parts are just so damn heavy. Proper light race parts are just so expensive....

Did they change the rules to allow AWD? I remember it being talked about but can't recall if it ever went ahead.

Showed nopics the recent photos, she was like "yeah Ok" then raised an eyebrow at the brakes and finally a double take and a big grin when she spied the engine.

dare I say it, but that seems a fair upgrade from the E30
.... because every driver experiences the destructive potential of the effortless surge of power available through the smallest of body movements.

the rules have always been there they are just very restrictive, i couldnt log book my time attack car as a sports sedan as it had too many mods

eg: must have stock floor pan, stock cross members

Gools' Evo won the 2017 Qld sports sedan championship. That said, we don't quite have the Victorian/NSW presence in sports sedans at the moment.

Starting to get there, rear end is all fabbed up now, just needs a bit of welding in the tricky spots when its stripped down.

Have scored some sachs 4 way dampers for the car so will get those mounted up on the weekend so shes a roller again. Front and rear hats have been made to suit the new caliper and upright package. Glad i'm starting to see the end of this rebuild that's for sure!

Sump is unbelievably slim, with the gearbox rubbing on the top of the flat floor thereís 60mm clearance between the sump and floor, so the r/h tuck underneath the sump with the collector being on the left hand side of the engine.

I had my heart set on going there, tho looked at the big picture and what we want as an end result in the car, some extra building time and a few more pineapples dropped on top and we should have what we envisioned, will be round 2 or 3 when itís up and running.

Progress has been slow over the last month or so, been flat out with work so have fell behind the time line a little.
Really need to take a week off work and get back cracking into it.

With the wait for a few bits of the front end taking their time we painted up the back of the chassis so we could start the final assembly.
Wedneday shes booked in to get wired up, no a massive job as ive picked the supercar chassis loom from the matching engine so will just be a case of shortening it off and banging new pins into the m800. All going well should be able to get it fired up in the 2ish weeks! keen is an understatement.
