There was only supposed to be 8 SL65 Black series going to the UK so there's probably even less in Australia.

I've never even heard of an mx5 coupe, were there many built?

Love the perspex covers on the inlet trumpets on the skelta too, what motor is it running?

Even now, these desirable MX-5 Coupes are limited-edition, Japan-only models. There's the Type A version (yellow car, 200 units) and a mini-Jaguar XKR-lookalike called the Type E (red car, 150 units) while Mazda is also offering two versions of the Coupe with the standard MX-5's front end (Roadster Coupe/Type S) depending on whether you want the 1.6 or 1.8-litre engine.

kinda like want... but with LS1

Pretty much. I forgot how gutless standard ones are.

They only ended up building 186 of them.

Skelta runs a Hartley V8 which I'm told is basically 2 bike engines sharing a common crank: http://www.skelta.com.au/latest_news.asp

Fucked if I know. What I do know is that it looks about a million times better than the G-Force.

i think this is an allegory for unequal wealth distribution

you can bet your ass that when i get a yellow 360 modena or a gallardo 550-2 or GT40 replica you bet i'm gonna blast past the packed bus stops at 5.05pm and metaphorically wave the middle finger to those poor unfortunates taking public transport

got some pics from the winton 6hr regularity trial yesterday.. got a bit of variety.. something for everyone i hope..

safe refuelling lol.. there was a bloke with a ciggy just to the left of the pic!

bloody nice alfa.. there were alot of nice alfas on the day

a 180b sss in good nick.. vinyl roof n all!

LJ torrie.. went quite well on the day

one for uncle.. this thing was a missile, but got a bit warm on the day

    another alfa

    fix it again tony!

one of many GTV's on the day.. me wants

RS2000 esky.. suprisingly it didnt break (there was anotehr that didnt break either!!

    some of the mx5 club

    one for cal

    some of Q's mates?

    teh GTR can neva loose

a sweet sprinter. was the only one there.. blacktop 20v powered, atleast untill a forien object went past the cam covers, and jumped the timing out

the classic celica clubs club car.. now 18rge + megasquirt powered (was 18rc + drawthru turbo) was one of the heros of the day.. was reliable as clockwork, and very consistant

another of the celica team.. 3sgte powered ra28. blisteringly quick, and reliable aswell. my fav of the event

18rg powered anglia.. was having problems on the day.. fueling issues, then had to pull off to the (left) side of the track after he ran outta fuel. then some silly bitch in a stag wasnt watching where she was going, and plowed straight into the poor bugger

funny lookin corty.. powered by a carbied EL motor. owner was nice enough to have a chat with me about it

few starions, they make good cheap track shitters i reckon.. highly under rated

shit hot healey turned up for a watch at the end of the day.. shame the tool parked on the (already crowded) access road
