Here is a picture of the car with the bodywork removed.

Basically the sort of stuff I would do to mine, if it wasn't so nice and matching numbers. The asking price makes me feel better though (obviously asking is not necessarily getting)

There is a 66 on there too but nicer like mine but a touch more desirable with an original 4 speed - asking $67k!

There is no way that I could hold back from polishing that car. 95% of those rust stains would disappear.

    LOL. You are probably right.

I recently had a go at a mates HX which he has just been recommissioned. It had some serious rust staining on it and almost all of the staining disappeared with just the paint chips remaining. I was pleasantly surprised at the difference it made.

You'd polish that car with a scotch pad and matte clear it or strip the whole thing and make it nice, nothing in between.

So, C6 RS6 Avant, as a family daily wagon. I'd feel completely safe parking that in my carport.
And trust me, that's the only reason why I'm not trying to buy it now. No point owning an epic car if you're paranoid about some cunt stealing it/knocking your house over.

I have similar fears it wouldn't fit in my garage so would be parked out the front lol.

Lol, true, there's a fucked 100/A6 in next door's driveway, been there for 3-4 years, that no one's touched.
I don't think it would be much of a sleeper if I owned it, something about a Mike Lowry spec exhaust and tune, and nopics' heavy foot, would mean every scumbag in struggletown would know about it.

There was an RS6 looking very second hand opposite where I lived at one stage. Car park dents, scratches etc.
Fuck me it was still hilarious to see it getting 'round the hood destroying fuckwits in Commodores.
