Ok, so it now has a super lightweight exhaust.

$30 for the hot dog from the muffler shop, $10 for the gal downpipe from bunnings and the flange from the old cat, with the air box hose clamp holding it on. Whole lot weighs about 2kg
Will trim the end off next time I'm under the back of the car

    now thats weight savings!!

i'd leave the rear suspension, may help with weight transfer. the glass taken out this will make a friggin huge difference, the front and rear windows especially.

To keep with the dodgey theme I welded on a diff bearing shell onto the hotdog so I could clamp the bunnings pipe onto it. Dodge ftw.

To run at a street meet it needs to have a muffled exhaust and exit toward the back of the car. Interpret that how you will.

Ok, back at work this week so progress is slow.

Here's how the back windows are held up with no guts in the door. The window channel is bent up and then cut off

No dash means the headlight switch needs to go somewhere, so it's now bolted to where the mirror used to be.

2 cans of cheap oven cleaner and the engine bay cleaned up really well.

Can't abide dirty race cars. Interior got a clean too.

Don't worry ECU was removed for safety haha

This is how much higher the stock suspension sits with all the crap gutted out of it.

Front sway bar has also been removed for weight saving.

left to do is to wire in the nitrous stuff, mount the bottle, get the stall converter delivered and then installed, and finish building the diff. It goes to Uncle's place for the next part of the build.

The engine bay turned out real good, must increase the value a bit.

    Now measure the bloody windows!

Yeah, if we have time, energy or interest the floor tar will come out too. That's a very big "if" though.

So.. in consideration of the conversation a few posts above, I have designed a team logo:
