good work mate, don't lose hope in the midst of trying to fix other things like your daily. Sounds like you know what you are doing anyway so I don't doubt you'll have this fixed up and raring to go soon enough.

I know its a pain but can you snap more pics of your repair efforts? Every now and then its possible to pick up a few tricks from seeing other people's work methods/tools/job specific stuff.

are you sure you want to invest too much time into this thing? Not trying to be rude or funny, but it's a fuckload of work for something that ultimately won't give you much back.

I'll have the inner sill, floorpan and kick panel done tomorrow. Once I'm happy it wont buckle, I'll be throwing the engine in.
By the same token, the same can be said of the VN's in terms of rate of return! :P

Got some done before the wire ran out.

The panel cut out and scribed...

    Half way through bending...

Started clamping in place for test fit..

Partially welded in, then ran out of wire...

Work on driveline side of things tomorrow.

You should've got a coast dwelling 80's Fiat that sat under a pine tree for the last 15 years if you want rust...

Had a bit of a shit day... My 4x4's head cracked 30km from home on a bush road in 38c heat, so it had to be towed home. So, now I'll have to drag my falcon wagon out of moth balls (read foot high weeds) and put new tyres on it just after putting a set of muddies on the 4x4. GAY.

On a positive note- I have the engine and trans home and a new roll of mig wire for the weekend!

Protip: Ditch the serpentine belt set up (balancer/alternator/air con/pwr steer/water pump/radiator) and replace with a simple EA-B-D v-belt parts.

note - water pump outlets and radiator must be matched. EA doesn't work with EF

Will be far less frigging around to set up.

Chin up mate. Shit things happen that distract all of us. Just think of the lolz you'll have when its done.

since he's got an entire falcon donar car sitting there to work with, wouldnt it be easier/cheaper just to keep the serp belt?

unless he's ditching the a/c compressor though?
