Just get a non ac belt and keep the serpentine system. It's neater and has less drag anyway.

Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

Anyhoo... I smashed out a small rust repair out of some sheet. I know it's rough, but it'll work...
Back at it then, I guess... :P
Got my 5 stud conversion today, would have fitted them but they gave me the wrong seal. $20 for the old rotors from a wrecker, $45 for the bearings and seals. No discount on the bearings... bugger. Dummied up the mag off the val to see what it'd look like :P
Good thing about these rotors is that they use a hat pressed onto the hub: I might be able to fit a better rotor on it in future...

OK........ Just spent a stack on eBay. $219 on a chinese special GT35 and another $49.97 (lol at the exact exchange conversion) on oil lines. Sent the exhaust gasket to the engineer to be copied into a flange to build a manifold. Gotta start watching the pennies now...
Got some EA calipers to fit to it... Does it classify as safety items or do I have to add it to the total?
As for "win", things are starting to happen but I'm not yet cranking about it...
definately not performance.. brakes only slow you down![]()

great metal work as usual !
Wow thats a lot of effort to go to for a shit box that only has to do a few drag passes. I say that in the most loving way possible as my first car was one of these. I would love another but they all seem to have rust like that. With those skills you might fully resurrect the beast. Top work.
Cheers guys! Like I said- if it survives I have plans for it lol.
Something I knocked up for a mate, if you're interested in a little fab work...

Just a day in the life, man!
Chassis rail is done for the best part. Now motor in tomorrow.

Done.
Why I replaced it...
More to come later!
Fuck what a effort in replacing the rusted out stuff, must be near alone $1300 in beer/alcohol consumed after rust repairs alone
you cant spell advertisements without semen between the tits
It's a holiday, so I've been working at 1:5 can/minutes and amount of work has been quite minimal... Now at least there is heaps of room for the 4L!
And the turbo flange is done- picked it up friday...
Might do a little more prep work on the motor but I'm getting to the CBF stage of the day...
Plonk!
