I had a TF Cortina 250 4 speed for my first car in 1985.

It was a POS then, I just didnt know any better. Lost it in a big way in Reynolds Road Templestowe one night in the wet, ended up over the median strip facing the wrong way

    Fantastic effort with the bodywork

I figured that while hot as fuck and with 10kg resting on it, it'll need the extra metal...

Here are a few photos of the mounts I made for mock up. Will make proper ones after gearbox mounting is sorted.

Good thing about these rotors is that they use a hat pressed onto the hub: I might be able to fit a better rotor on it in future...

did you have any trouble with the disc hitting the ball joint ?

when i put xa-b discs on my TE i had to split the disc/hub and have the hub machined 9mm to sit the disc closer to the hub

Yes, the issue atm is studs now, as they are 9mm to long. What was your solution?

I had the correct studs, dunno what they came off

though i think if you use the std studs you can just fit a spacer plate on the wheels side

wow! haha have you thought about just bolting the front crossmember to the engine and not bothering with the body at all? You're nearly there!
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

Bolted in, not yet welded onto rail. It clears where the leg of the driver would be, but it seems very big... I might gusset it from the bottom and remove the upper beam... hmmmm

    Fuck me!
After a few passes you'll be left sitting on the track holding the wheel with a gearbox mount and inner sill panel next to you, surrounded by iron oxide dust.
