Had a ball Saturday- entered Japnats and managed 2nd in street class, and in the process got two new PB's - still same spec, MCA's, 215kw atw, 255/40/17 AD08R

58.16 on QR sprint and 1:00.78 on clubman, great battle for first and it was only .1 different on clubman, but total time of ended up .6 off a pretty nice 220kw evo 6 TME

Did some testing at Lakeside on the weekend. Serious traffic issues with a 23 (!!) second time differential in our group meant I didn't get a proper clean lap but I'm happy for my first go on the track in the new car and enjoying any seat time I get.

new fastest time for me at Winton with a 22.7 on the last lap of the race trying to pass the Audi R8 for the lead...

the viper is certainly improving, but has some way to go.

Hopefully we can get into the 9s at Sandown in a few weeks.

I decided to enter Phillip Island for Subinats this year. 3 weeks out I slapped in a built motor I had here with a few changes, more reliability than mods - I have been running around for the last 5 years with a full tank of fuel - it surges at 3/4 of a tank around local tracks. I installed a surge tank, my spare built 2l motor, which is exactly the same spec as the current JDM motor but with Rods/pistons/more porting in the heads and beehive springs. RSS helped a heap getting it ready in time and installed a Turbosmart wastegate actuator on it, which now holds 19psi to redline, and installation of a Turbosmart FPR and parallel rails, and after all this NA Autosport tuned it again very last minute to 234kw @ 19psi - a healthy 20kw upgrade. I was aiming to complete it for a test day at lakeside the weekend before it left but was tuning the day before it was loaded to leave for Melbourne.

With no practice day (it was booked out) I felt a awesome end result with 8th in class and 14th outright on a AD08R, I'm pretty sure Garth Walden was the only non-r spec car that beat me, I could be wrong there.

Otherwise, still full weight, MCA Reds, 255 AD08r, 234kw atw

What a track, what a experience, love to go again there is more time in that as it is setup now

interesting thread, great to see the big lists of times. i've only got some bike times at this point.

    Timed by Computime
    Broadford
    1:05.197 - '08 Honda CRF450R Supermoto (Bridgestone Slicks)

    Phillip Island
    1:55.672 - '08 Honda CRF450R Supermoto (Dunlop Slicks, max speed 174kmh)

    timed on dashboard lap timer
    Phillip Island
    1:40.37 - '10 KTM RC8R (Stock, with Pirelli SC1 front SC0 rear)

TBH i think that was probably not quite correct but it was a 40-41 somewhere near there. was getting a good tow off a guy on a zx10r. the next time i went out (a year or more later) i had changed the rear shock and fitted an exhaust and was only doing 42-43 on racechrono with a qstarz GPS hookup but had massive issues with braking stability. wasn't long after that track day when i noticed the frame was snapped on both sides, so that could have been the reason why i was so much slower with better parts.
