fucked if I know but I should have just made them from scratch. They only reason i used them was to hurry the project up due to the impending RTA rule change that didnt happen - fuckers

I would have kept my 14'' gts rims on if they fitted over the brakes

Took the nugget racing last night. Managed a 13.4 @103mph. Found out that 4 speed auto to what they want most of the time. Left it in D for all the racing and would sometimes go over the line in 3rd with 2 pops on the limiter or would click into 4th 50m before the end. Times ranges from 13.4 to 13.7.

So a tune and some weight out of it (I leaft the spare tire and other shit which would account for probably 50kg's in the car) should see it in the 12's and still good for the street. Would be happy with a 12.5

The best bit was being able to drive the thing home without anything broken.

You would be happy with that!
Super lows are what I now have. I think the front end of mine is sitting a bit lower than yours even with the stock springs though, due to the engine weight. So I should end up with a nice stance.

How to your rear tyres go with scrubbing?

No scrubbing at all. I have shortened the diff 20-30mm per side and run 235/60/15. They are close but no scrubbing. With a standard length diff you would have problems.

Survived the Nats, had a fun time being able to do skids this year.

Was put into the naughty kids corner by security for doing skids, saw other pf'ers cruising. Go to whoa was good and having the drive thru skids on thursday and friday afternoon / night was good. Have now got a gearbox that has a mind of its own.

So next on the list is to get the gearbox looked at / rebuilt (any suggestions and prices welcome) and get a tune hopefully some time this year and look forward to a 12 possibly

yes it went very well, pretty much what we expected out of it, justin and i hated the 4 1/2 hour wait to get on the dyno, people kept cutting in and the marshalls wernt any help really, then trick & mansweto rocked up and went straight on

thanks mate!!! A mate ended up giving me a tune. You had your capri there right with evl-408 plates? if so that thing sounds great.

Took it in the burnouts and it performed great, 2nd gear at 6400rpm for about a minute did me. Car performed great all weekend just needs about 150 more hp. Going to take it to the drags now, hopeing for the 12.

Looking at doing similar in a HQ tonner. Were there any special hoops the engineer wanted you to jump through or was it fairly straight forward? I'll be using VT brakes and booster with BW78 diff at rear and a nice quiet twin 2 1/4in exhaust for engineering duties off the current TPI 350 in it...

Yeah that was me… anything sounds tough with the pipes off… especially if you gas it through that tunnel
I should of come said hi but I'm a bit of an anti social cunt. Didn't really fancy introducing myself as mrs jones either…

This thing is really awesome though. It's smooth, quiet and has plenty of grunt. It's got me keen to do something similar with one of my HK buckets of shit. If you want another 150hp you should just shove some gas on it, it's easy and you wouldn't kill the sleeper thing it's got now with lumpy cam note or anything. The way it is now it just sounds like a stock 308

Nothing different to the normal stuff. Had to seal all my fuel pumps in a box, setup a shit air box and charcol cannister (even if it dosent do anything). i wouldnt even change the brakes to be honest. i used slotted at the front and el discs with r31 calipers at the rear.

Mrs Jones - lol I know how you feel. GAS has been talked about, but I think that I want to go with a cam, springs and a stall converter. Once that goes in I will play around with the gas. I dont really want to go any further than an 11.

After the weekend the converter is high on the want list, really needs a 3500 to 4200 I think
