Best priced Redline oil - where?

I'm after some Redline lightweight shockproof gearbox oil, but shudder everytime I see the price.

Any hints on where the best price may be found?

Don't believe everything you read about it on the internet.

I have used it. Never again.

Mainlube is the go. But even more xxxy than Redline.

Redlines dealers have massive mark ups and Redline's marketing strategy involves trolling forums.

    Here they come

That quote was from the link provided by DCR above, from "Harold"

Thanks Steve, I'll give Ash a call.

Fatboy, the Rx7 is getting a fair bit of work done - it wasn't quite as "track ready" as I first thought and you know how these things are - as soon as you start pulling things apart, you find more jobs to do...so right now it's in a trillion parts in the garage. I'm still hoping it'll be ready for 2012 though.

    Does Repco sell Redline.
Price has gone up recently. Nearly $210 a 4 litre bottle now.

GL on ebay is selling for 99 + shipping.

Is it the real thing though.

Agree with DCR - this was the cheapest I found it. Really quick shipping, too.

No offence but never heard of "crazy" - was just referring to Redline's marketing generally

I paid ~ $165 from Bursons a couple of months ago. Autobarn is charging $45 for Water Wetter!! I was at Extreme Motorsports the other day and they were having a special on Redline products, $19 for Water Wetter and *I think* $170 for 2x 1 gallon bottles of the gear oil. But call them to check, I might be wrong there.

Redline oil is a price protected product in australia. If you are selling it, you are required to stick to a set price list. I should know, I sell it (Burson Parramatta)

If the place you are buying it from, is not listed on www.redlineoil.com.au then they are parallel importing it and Redline Oil aus warranty does not cover product purchased from these places.

What does the warranty cover and has anyone actually used it?

Redline offer a parts and labour warranty if their product is found to be defective or the recommendation in the book is wrong (ie book says you can use heavy weight, but should actually say light weight).

Yes, the warranty has been used before. I had a customer years ago at Coventry Mascot, that used shockproof in a patrol diff, that failed after 15,000km's. It turns out the oil had separated. They replaced the diff free of charge.
