Went past Luddenham Raceway today and stopped in for a look. The road base is down and flattened out. The track looks very spectacular with the elevation changes. Should be really fun to drive.

Does anyone know anything about "Circuit Italia" ?

The track that was being developed out the back of Newcastle. I read a CAMS update that it was due to be finished by Oct'17 - I know one car club suggesting it might be one of the venues to be used in 2018 for their Supersprint Championship.

Last time I was up at Ringwood for a hillclimb a month or two back it didn't look like much work was being done.

It's still gong ahead. But after the shit fight between V8SC and the Council over non payments to Volunteers in a risky environment and the likelihood of major damages claims at some stage for deafness Etc, SC approached CI with a view to racing at CI. To to that an extension to the track is "required" so back to the drawing board for the developer with a new D.A. Etc.

What's the go with the Circuit Italia website now being a page stating "For Members / By Application" ?

All old links give 404 error ?

And yeah regarding stuff actually happening, I get up to Ringwood regularly, always have a look at the new circuit, not much seems to change.....

Tallem Bend (or however you spell it) is the same. It's modelled off a Golf Course, exclusive rights type setup.

    Ludenham update:

Drifting: Drifting will not take place at this stage, however there are plans to hold drift events and construct a dedicated concrete drift track in the future.
-Venue Hire: The Venue will be available for hire on weekdays and weekends (on weekdays there will be hourly, half day and full day hire options) prices are still to be confirmed and will be released closer to opening. For hire queries please email info@luddenhamraceway.com
-Licensing: Every participant must hold a valid Luddenham Raceway Motorsport Park License to participate in events held at Luddenham Raceway Motorsport Park (Day licenses will be $30.00 and Yearly licenses $100.00) if you hold a CAMS or AASA license you will still be required to hold a Luddenham License.
-Track Days: Luddenham Raceway will be hosting weekday and weekend track days. Pricing for weekdays will be $220.00pp and weekends will be $275.00pp... passengers will allowed at additional cost of $30.00pp
-Ride Days: Luddenham Raceway will be hosting weekday and weekend Ride days + ride school. Pricing TBA as we are in final negotiations with a prominent riding school. (So yes, all you Riders are more than welcome!)
-Opening Date: Late February/March depending on building schedule.
-Noise Restrictions: we will follow the same criteria as all other NSW Motorsport Facilities with a 95dba noise limit (measured from appropriate distance)
-Lap Timing: Lap Timing will be available at the venue for hire, and will be included in the cost of Luddenham Raceways own Track days
-Advertising: if you are interested in advertising your business or product at the track, please email info@luddenhamraceway.com for pricing.

Not too bad, somewhere between wakefield and eastern creek pricing. Passenger session is cool.

Had a look. Tarmac is all done. Lots of framework laid out in the pit area for what it looks like will be carports. There were a few guys behind locked gates on road bikes testing the track out.
