I hardly think Amarok V6's are running out the door. I don't know the sales figures, but would wager they lag significantly behind their hopes.

^^^ I am with you Marlin. Price point was a stretch. Would have been OK if it was a no cost option along the same model structure of the original line up. Not a 10k option.

Meaning the pricing of the 4 cylinders was about right for the V6. Charging more for them is just a gouge. I can't believe how ordinary they are in many aspects given the asking price.

^^^^ Yeah. What he said . I really enjoyed my Amarok and planned on a V6 but price had me cancelling my order and going elsewhere.

EGR's are the main drama but it's a pretty simple fix other than the flash required to stop the ecu having a narnie. Perfect time to get a tune, DPF delete and dump.

I'm seriously considering selling mine in the near future, what's your mate's budget?

I'm up to 7,000km in the 'highway to the Rangerzone' and I couldn't be happier. Such a comfy easy driving experience plus I get a few smiles from chicks and the occasional casual nod from other fourbie owners.

He's over in wa, moving from a Perth based roll to Kalgoorlie. Selling a tiggerjuan for a fourbie.

They went a bit overboard with the Supercheap auto looking V6 TURBO DIESEL sticker on the tub. Its about 60cm long and looks like its overcompensating.

    Sportline Amarok

Launching the Sportline – a badge curiously borrowed from the Volkswagen brand’s stablemate Skoda, where it represents a top-shelf offering – gives the ‘TDI550’ V6 line a new entry point below big-end rivals like the 147kW/470Nm Ranger XLT and 130kW/450Nm HiLux SR5.

For equivalent models in those ranges, with tubs on the back and an automatic transmission, you’ll start at $55,690 and $57,390 respectively.

An eight-speed auto is again the only option, although Volkswagen has confirmed it will add a six-speed manual Sportline to the local range next year.

Anyone got any time under their belt with the V6 Amarok? Keen to know what they're like reliability-wise, etc (especially compared to the 2L one).

The one I bought for work has only been back to replace the top rad hose and clean a faulty parking sensor. That said it has only done about 2,000km. And to be fair both issues were within the first 3 days of ownership. /uselessfeedback

Just thought I'd share my NP300 experience. Bought it last April and it's been great... except that I started noticing an oil leak. Not something I'd expect on a car with 30K on it. Anyway I've taken it back to the dealership and they had it for a week and a half to fix a rear main oil leak. Get the car back and it's pissing out oil. My 64 C10 bleeds less.

I've contacted the dealership and it's got to go back again... apparently Nissan have advised they need to use a different sealant.

It's a right pain in the arse when you live 70ks from the dealership and get given a fucking Micra as a courtesy car while your 50K plus rig is getting fixed again. The Micra isn't going to carry feed for the animals nor get us to farms around here.

I'm hoping I'm an isolated case but apparently it's a known issue.

I'd be throwing hay bales in the back of the Micra and telling them to get fucked if they complain
