    Calipers arrived.

Looks like it will stay VN, Can't use the 6speed with LRA in a VS.

Could you log book it as a GTS didn't they come out with a 6 speed. I don't know how many we're made though or just lock sixth gear out like others do (from what I've heard)

I usually dont buy from net because of that reason! Usually I find the quality of things bought from net very cheap..

Ive been very luck with ebay, Everything turned up as described. Ebay has made it possible to keep this car way under 20k Possibly as little as 15k but still has a lot of very good parts.
The whole clutch and flywheel came in a little under $450 total with only the black cover and flexplate 2nd hand. Only the outer section of the flexplate remain.

Good stuff, keep the updates coming please.

Everytime I see this thread I chuckle that your idea of a "shitty IP racer" includes dry sump, built motor and 6-pot Alcons

It's amazing how cost-effective you are being with ebay parts and own workshop/mad skillzzz.

I found a Holinger for the right money but my son decided to save that for the 240Z Sportsedan so this car is staying with the TKO600. I strayed from ebay with the TKO, That came from Gumtree but they are related company's.

Front Rotors and Hats are still needed for the Alcons.

The Diffs are working out very well, ended up with 2 as the second was $125 brand new with axles and floating ends, Can't believe how light they are, Just need to send some coin to Momus for his Commodore Watts link kit. Not ebay but his a guy known to know what he is doing and its cheap enough to make it not worth making myself.

Ill take pics of the Diff as it comes together, It just looks so cool with those big Alcons hanging off it. Carrier and Pinion support are due tomorrow, Also not ebay, Summit worked out best value for those but the Spool, gears and bearing kit was ebay

Anyway, All the big step stuff is happening, The whole drive train will be in by mid Aug after Paint and cage update.

I don't want to make much power as LS engines are not as strong as people want to believe and a light clutch helps. It is triple plate tho.

A few of the VN's at the sandown IP meet ran a VN group A style bar and then added a splitter to the bottom of it to get it to the maximum of the regulations . Regarding rear guard mods , one of the VN's had some decent flaring of the rear guards going on .

Yeh Ive seen some dodgy Flare on VN IP cars, Mine was a bit flared but I took them back to factory.
Custom front bar worries me, Id like something fast and easy to change if I have any problem with the "Push 2 pass" system.

They aren't really custom steve , just he splitter is added . Eziglass in melbourne stock the VN GRP A mould andif they are like my Walky front bar you use the the bumper reo to locate the bar then weld a nut to the reo and bolt through the front . Sides are located by the same method but using the lower part of the front 1/4 panel , 10 minute removal and replacement .

L98 intake with new large Throttle body.

Logbooked IP VN with basic Suspension and cage ( I was going to upgrade cage)with Fuel system using factory base tank but good pumps and surge tanks and rear mounted reg to suit LS engine. The car last raced as an LS so all mounts and assorted hardware is there. Paint needed on L/H rear 1/4 and L/H front guard, rest will polish up ok.Theres no seat but everythig else as last raced is still there. Has new 18x9 rims as per Pic's in this thread. SV5000 body kit. Momus has the right Watts link kit for this car at a good price. Been offered near 20K just for Engine and Diff but will not split.

You might want clarify above, it says you spent $5k on headers.

Would be a good buy for someone.

The headers and exhaust did cost about that. Shelf items are not much good.
Exhaust was paid for by first owner.
