Power is the easy option. As in passing on the straight is easier. Ray Hislop was a few car lengths back from Milano on the last corner, but by the chequered flag he was only 0.06 behind. And Milano has a lot of power. His mechanic said about $60k for the motor. Will be interesting what lap times mine will do in IPRA trim, given it only has a baby HSV road cam.

Here is in car footage from race 1 of the Improved Production racing at the Bathurst 12 hour. Had a slight issue with the ECU shutting the engine down when I hit the rev limiter going up mountain straight on the first lap. Had to restart and rejoin the race in last position. Once we got going the engine started to overheat so for a few laps in the middle of the race I was short shifting and lifting down the straight so it could cool down, was a stinking hot day 35+ deg.

    Race 2
Jeff made some suspension changes, car felt much better on the front end. Still having some electrical/sensor issues that caused the car to drop some cylinders, a quick restart sorted it but the rev limiter was much lower than before. The revlimiter fixed its self on the last lap, helped us to do our fastest lap of the weekend of a 2.29 on the very last lap!

So for 2018, The new engine build is underway, LS9 Sleeved block full of the best parts we can find that will remain undisclosed. A pair of very special heads on the way to TK to top it off.
Alan Saint is providing the Samsonas 6 speed box. Ebay era is over.
