    GBR 2JZ VL Berlina Sleeper Project

    so once one project finishes it's not long till another threadworthy one begins at GBR, since the Corona was finished a little 1JZ with A340E Toyota auto and Precision 6266 conversion in a MX83 Cressida has come and gone, now a new one has started, the goal is to try and run 8's for $20k. a mate with a 9.0@146mph RX3 13B turbo drag car has decided it was time to give this street car thing a go, after we chatted about it a while back, he has decided to join the dark side, yesterday we went out picked up an Aristo front cut with a TT 2JZ and a nice neat grandpa spec VL Berlina.

    so what's going in the car
    2JZ (factory motor)
    Precision PT6766 turbo (goal is to max the 930hp turbo out)
    GBR custom T4 single turbo exhaust manifold
    GBR 4'' exhaust system
    2-speed Powerglide with PTC hi-stall converter
    EMS EM80 or EMS 8860 ECU (all electrical done in-house)
    Toyota Yaris coils
    beefed up Borg Warner rear end





    here's what it should look like, this is one the brother did previously, the owner dropped by to show our mate what it looks and goes like. it's making 430rwhp thru the Toyota A340E auto.



    this should be in and out very quickly, if brother isn't too busy with work, it should be ready for start-up within a month

    This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.

    wouldn't mind Xzibit here as long as he brings some big booty bitches

    yeah if all goes to planned, startup in 4-6 weeks. then cruise the streets for a little, then try it at the track.

    Picked up a few things today
    EMS EM80 ECU
    Precision 6766 with T4 .84 exhaust
    Aeroflow fuel rail

    John can't be fucked doing the exhaust manifold, it's a day he can spend doing something else so rang Goleby's and got a 6Boost manifold and some Yaris coils. Waiting on Dellow for a bell they had none in stock.

    Haven't seen too many VL 2JZ another mate popped over yesterday, another rotor boy, looks like he is going to get one done as well. There's a little bit of fucking around but not too difficult

    Maybe should design/sell 2jzinto vb-vl kit

    Would be cool to see in a ratty old vb that looks barely registered
    an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

    Yaris coils are hotness? Might junkyard one to see if they bolt up to VH41.

    2J into VL kit, would probably be profitable so we couldn't have that lol.

    It would be good and legal in a VB, nice and light.

    Borgy rear end with 31 spline axles will be good. Or i got a 9" housing and 28 spline axles all ready for vk if u want.

    Can squeeze 255 radial under untubbed comfortably and low. Provk squeezed a 275 radial under his vk untubbed, but 4x4 height, magic diff width

    Mine had a 275 on it, tubbed with a bashometer. Would not recommend. lower control arm and gas shock both rub the sidewall any time there is flex in the sidewall.

    Yeah, mine has had the same treatment on inner guards, don't need it with 255 though

    what's it worth to strengthen the Borgy ass end, what we need 31-spline billet axles, billet hat, full spool, pinion etc will get into 8's very low 9's with an auto? We've never fucked around with ass end in a VL what sort of mods and $'s we looking at?

    Just take it to bosnjak, cunts a wizard at making them live. The yellow maatouks vl that was supposed to be anthonys car just has 31s and a spool in it and its in the 8's lol
