Looks great, they look their best close to stock, if its just the bottom end I'd say new bearings, safe tune, enjoy an unassuming looking 250-300rwkw beast

Too many supporting mods. Big end bearings is a pretty piss easy job. Take it to a machinist get it fixed up.

It's the PF way. "Put a twin turbo LS in it brah, you'll have it converted and running in 2.5 hours and make an eazy 1000rwkw, lulz" All while the same people who suggest this stuff drive around in a corolla and have a fucked VN sitting in the garage for the past 3 years as a "project car."

Of course he does. Gets a bit repetitive when the same people are suggesting the same bullshit conversions...

Then again nothing ever gets old in here as no one ever moves on from anything.

Yea do this. VQ30DET is nice but will cost more than what you could flog the entire package for.

It depends if any bearing metal has made it's way through and hammered the cams and stuff.
If it wasn't caught early enough and damaged the cams and pistons etc it might be not worth building it.
How much did you end up getting the car for? PM if you like.
