Haha he did a 14.4 on Wednesday night and lunched the motor by way of broken timing belt.

At least it beat all the FPV guys out there anyway

380 motor conversion is happening so expect the 13's to be a definate thing!

That or the 3.5 pump can't cope with the 3.8 awesomeness.

I've got a Walbro 255 coming for my Evo 8 MR, so will have it's stock fuel pump (72k genuine kays) out in a few weeks if you want.

6 pack of something half decent and it's yours.

Use all same wiring.use the 3.5
Ecu. You need to change front Tappet covers over to the old 3.5 ones.
Love how good it goes now. Off to tune it some more tonight found a stock evo pump for $70
Made a fool out of a VZ SS manual last night. Gave him every chance to have a good run against me but the magna just walks away.

    Magna winning here!
One of the lads at work got a 3.2 E36 M3 recently. Good stocker (the car that is). We get to work at same time and drive round to the back road behind the lovely industrial area we inhabit. Rolling 1st or 2nd gear start and the 3.5L magma sports manual wouldn't lose more than 1/2 car length to around 100 k's. After that I'm sure it would get ugly for the Magma.
No, I'm not saying M3 < Magma Sports, I've driven a 3.2 M3 E36 around for a few weekends and they are v. nice and go very well on the track too. But torque to weight ratio is what you need for a quick match-up on the street up to FWY speeds, and the Magma matches it there. Then the extra 2000 RPM of M donk goodness is there for the taking and you wish you spent 15k instead of 5k on your daily...

Imagine what a cheap set of pipes and a 100 shot of gas would do. High 12s?

Nos is cheating.I don't want NA V8's to feel good about losing.

3.5 ecu is similar to that of an EVO 6. Didn't do much good though only a 5 kw gain on a safe tune.

Managed a 13.7 and a 2.0 60 foot.for some stupid reason (daily) I put all the seats back in it

    Bring on jambo. ALL MOTOR

And for the record I am over budget. Could have come close if I didn't pop a motor and diff. I haven't got my hands dirty either I paid mechanics to do that.

I'm going to admit to searching carsales and gumtree for cheap Magnas the first time I read this thread, latest 3.8 developments have made it even more amusing. Who says Aussies don't love underdogs?

Read Graham Bells 4th ed Four stroke performance engines. Plenty of magna/380 engine tech in there.

    He's building me a 4.2L 380 motor

That's it for me. All I want out of it now is a strong lsd
And probably coil overs for the odd circuit day. Stiff rear coils should see me get more traction over the 1/4 too. I'm stoked with how it goes.
