    I think it's not an MT09.

I don't think they are terrible, reviews are good and could be a good base to customise in to something cooler (in which case you wouldn't start with a new one)

sat on one of these before (not test ride). the airbox is in the worst possible spot where my knee was sitting... hopefully a much slimmer box could sort that out

I got Matris stuff installed by Terry hay @ Shock Treatment. Couldn't recommend him more. Took heaps of time to get the setup right. Great kit, great service. not cheap but meh.

have sent my ECU off to Kevin Hope in QLD for some magic. Also purchased DNA air filter (going to cut down the snorkel too).

How much did it set you back? I just got one of these and noticed the front is a little too soft, even for daily riding.

He's good guy, have him doing a set of forks for one of my bikes.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

Kev magic is well....magic. A must for every MT (if you've joined the FB group no doubt you've seen his name mentioned 6579 times) Snorkel is easy, they left nice casting marks on there that make it really clear where to cut. Yamaha dealer did mine.

had it flashed previously in sydney, power was up a lot, but still had real snatchy throttle. so will be interesting to give this a go. hopefully cop some intake roar now with DNA filter combo too.
