Come to play with ute to polish up for car show.
Ethanol sensor readings all over the place
    tps reading flying around.
two fuel pumps not working at all.

then I went to pull the fuel pump relay from the haltech loom box, and all the crimps fall off the wires.

discussing now tearing it all out and starting from scratch. Smartwire, racepak dash.

Good one for coming online and admitting it, and I don't mean that in a nasty way at all. Everyone makes mistakes.

Nah. Full rewire from scratch again. I'll take it home, strip to nothing and plan from start.

This is car went from fucked up birds nest, to show car neat, light and functional, and now it's back to birdsnest because I kept adding shit/functions/crying when it wouldn't do stuff it isn't designed to. I see the light now, praise.

screw the dash panels back in and just let it be messy. my 510 is a bit 'untidy' behind the panels but i know it all works and cosmetics doesn't really matter with that stuff.

None of it works now. Engine won't even run right. Most sensors going fucking haywire. Like TPS jumps around randomly..... When not plugged in. It has 81% ethanol in it now but sensor reads 21% and jumps back and forth to 70-20% when cranking over. Temp sensors read 200 then 5 degrees etc.

Alternatively, if someone wants to give me $10k for this I'll sign it over and walk away from it. You spend the bit of time putting whatever dash in and a few wires. I'm ready to walk away happy, can have all my spares and new parts etc too, spare wheels, etc etc.

im over 50k into this, closer to 70k I would guess. And I don't think it will ever do exactly as I want, what I want is a $300k restomod ute.

No rage, no regret, just time to move on.

Sounds like it just needs the ends gone over with a crimper again, earth's checked and a handful of cable ties man. If it all worked before then is spacking out all of a sudden, probably just vibration worked a wire lose. Is it just the efi harness that's playing up or the car harness too?

There are definitely some serious issue with how things are wired up.

    TPS fuckeded.
haltech relays also a little deaded. Replaced with oex shit sitting on shelf. Must be slightly higher current or something.

now, wideband. Got this working perfectly, at the expense of gauge dimming with headlights. Sigh.

Marked up up template for IQ3. Just doesn't fit without hacking, but hacking is ok if it all works.

anyone got a cheap haltech iq3 going?

You have a house now. Park it. If you want I'll buy you a good quality car cover as a late birthday gift.

Yeah, don't give it away Cracka. Tinker until the last 5% is done, then enjoy the bloody thing.

The blue light from the IQ3 dash is only blinding on first start up, at night. I don't find them distracting after about 30 seconds.

You have to finish this properly, so I can walk you at QR in a couple of months.

Park it up for a few months then on it once a week for only 2-3hrs & leave it.

    or

Send it to one of the capable PF cunts for a few months to sort it out...let them race it,powercruise & fuck fat chicks in back of it then give it back to you in 3 months time or new years or whatever.

If you're that ocd or pedantic or whatever crazy not to finish it.

ps you'll never be happy trying to get it 'perfect' the fun is in building/driving & thrashing what you built.
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

There is no point in selling it. You don't have a loan on it and you can fix it yourself. Just keep plugging away at the things keeping it off the road so you can enjoy it.

Do you have a list of the vehicles current configuration (engine/trans/diff/ecu etc etc) and what is ok and what is not.

What is needed to get it finished (is it just wiring ?).
