Jamie, a place in melton called resto blast does a great job. They don't use sand, what they do use escapes me, but its very gentle. On the bmw chassis the finish was so good we didnt have to undercoat it, they also did the blue and white taxi that was at PI a few weeks ago. highly recommend, just a bit more expensive compared to sand as its more time consuming.

I like Escorts. I especially like them with bubble arches and Cosworths.

I want to be able to drive it whenever and wherever I like, so making it E85 only limits its use.

I already have a race car, so want this to be a fun road car that I can get some real use from, unlike the race car with sees little action.

So if I have to reduce the power to make it able to accept 98, then so be it.

I've got a 6 dial dash and dash pad if you're interested in going for the period look inside...

Well, actually... MoTeC are releasing a new larger colour display. The display can have images loaded in it, can do layering, transparency etc... So I am intending to photograph an original Escort dash, and put it on the colour display.

Using the new software, I can make all of the dials and gauges work just like factory from the ECU... Just for a bit of fun....

yeh, but none in mansfield, or Benella (just examples)...

I have a flex fuel sensor, so I could use the M800 to transition the fuel and timing with fuel type, no problems, but I would hate to break the engine given its stupid cost....

    Awesome. What colour?
I like the idea of the motec dash replicating the six dial. What gearbag?

Orange and black. IMHO the white and blue is overplayed.

I know the owner of that MK1, you probably do too Jamie. The pictures DO NOT do it justice, it's a true credit to what hard work and an eye for detail can get you. He was saying that getting the bubble flares in the right spot is critical, otherwise the whole car just looks wrong.
