I loved the look of the 17 KTM and and the bigger tank and linkage of the Husky but in the end I couldnt be happier with the Beta. Paid 11k with 6 months rego in June last year for the 2016.

First ride Saturday on the Tubliss and Starcross 5 I'll report back in case anyone's interested. FYI the Tubliss were a nightmare to fit, if you do it start with the rear it's a lot easier than the front.

I thought the same thing until I realised they showed the rear which is a lot easier. The front being narrower is harder to stretch the tyre onto the rim and you have to be careful not to pinch or damage the casing for the high pressure inner tube so that the low pressure outer doesn't leak air into it. The Beta has black rims too which look great but scratch easily which makes it harder trying not to damage them. The video and written instructions also show different instructions than the written instructions for the rim tape which is something to be aware of. It was frustrating but now it's done it shouldn't be too hard in future now i know what to do and I'm sure it will be worth the effort.

Something i picked up locally. It had been cobbled together by someone 10 owners ago and has never run right. Its a MT 125 bottom end with a CR pipe and vm28 carb. The thing is so loud it makes my CR250 seem like a PW50 which is making it hard to tune at the house.

Heres mine, hadn't really touched it for years, but lately I have been getting out a bit to the state parks.. Still trying to decide if I want to drop some cash on a new enduro bike or just setup the suspension properly on the KX for trail..

Finally got back on the bike after just shy of 6 months and it felt good to be back. Unfortunately Monday wasn't kind to the bike..................

Plastics, bars, grips, exhaust, fuel tank, subframe, gear lever are all busted unsure of forks yet but will be stripping it down for better look.

Car cleaner stared ute in gear while half in the car dumped clutch and watched it roll on out the back wall. Bike stopped it getting into the panel shop behind lol.

    That's a fucking pain!
    BF XR6 Turbo - 2L Turbo TE - 75 TX Coupe

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.

Sorry hadn't seen this. The Tubliss have been great so far i tried them at 10 psi first to see what they'd be like on a warm day on fairly hard pea gravel type ground and they still felt really good and had good traction from the rear with the Starcross5. The second ride was even better at 8psi in softer damp conditions with plenty of grip and feel from the front and rear. It's getting a lot cooler and wetter over here so it will be good to see how they go varying pressures to suit conditions. So far though a positive experience and glad I've done it.

Dean ferris 2nd in 450 moto 1 at high point today.

Might raise a few eyebrows for next year but I think he's still with CD-R here in 2018.

Had a retro dirtbike show down here on the weekend. First one that we've held and we got 130 bikes attend! We were hoping for 60-80!

I had some of my bikes on display - here's a pic of my 97 RM from yesterday.

There's some photos up here: https://www.facebook.com/retrodirtbikeshow with more going up soon.

That looks so good. I've got this 91 kx125 stripped and frame powdercoated. Finding plastics isn't as easy as I thought.

    Dirk Timmer has NOS shrouds.

$$$ but they are an important part if you are looking for an OEM resto...

That RM is amazing. I keep an eye out for a scrap one but the fork lowers always seem to be super corroded on them.

Yeah they all corrode. Mine's done about 10hrs since new and they are slightly corroded!

One more pic - another of my RM's. This one's a rider.
