    Bought an R34 Sitar today

    here it is. its black.

its fucking clean, inside and out apparently done 42,000km... 4000 is on new engine. i cannot believe these things are going on 15 years old.
    rebuilt forged engine
    264 cams
    head has been ported
    coilovers
18x10 TE37s with dangerously crap tyres (was wet today)
    Power FC with Z32 afms
OS giken twin plate that rattles
    exhaust that is too loud
    big rad
    big cooler
    2860-5 turbos or someshit
    eboost2

other stuff i dont know about, getting all reciepts and parts list from previous owner this weekend.

makes about 500hp @ wheels on 21psi according to a dyno sheet i was given. feels pretty quick!

goddamn GTRs. im already googling for upgrade parts and i've owned it for 3 hours.

Why? It already makes enough power.
    With a 2.6, cough.

mostly oil control mods for now. as semi slicks, high rpm and hard track driving sound like a problem for these motors.

when i get all the reciepts for the engine build i'll know what needs to be done.

    but i would like:

    sump baffle and oversized sump
oil drain from back of head to sump
    Nitto/Tomei/whatever oil pump
1.25 or 1.5mm oil restrictor for head
decent oil cooler (is stock one any good?)

unfortunately all of that is an engine out job, so i might just overfill the sump and install accusump first and see how it goes.

if i went nuts i'd got a full race T4 manifold and a borg warner EFR8374 turbo.. that Vcam stuff looks incredible for early torque/spool. so add that to the list now.. lol.
depending on if i tracked it, some big brakes would be nice..

but it is such a clean example im hesitant to trash it by doing all that so i can track the shit out of it.

lol. its short a few cylinders for that.

so now I own a skyline do i have to go do laps of surfers paradise with the windows down, one hand resting on top of the steering wheel and stereo pumping so everyone can see how awesome I am? or is that optional

The standard oil cooler won't cool a damn thing.

Get at least one decent sized Earls cooler on it.

Double check if the rebuild included the oil restrictor as they're a must if you're tracking it as would be a decent oil pump.

Yes on the bigger brakes as well. Unless your name is Aaron. How hard and how often will determine how much $.

Looks like a very nice car mate. Well done.

    JDM muscle yo!

an angry RB with decent sized turbos definitely counts. Not quote a Hako, but it will be one day.

    It's obligatory. Do the needy.

Play something like 80's Bon Jovi for maximum effect/confusion.

Another 34 gtr on pf. Happy days.

Regarding the cooler the 34 had the best of the gtr coolers. Good for at least 300kws at the wheels.

Get the tomei top end gasket kit. All metal gaskets and an oil restrictor in the kit.

Regarding the brakes there is sooooo many options. One I'm considering is rebuilt evo brembos and 355mm rotors. Old mate quoted me 1500 all up.

Awesome. You bought it! I heard from the boss yesterday that you had "left work early to buy a 600HP car". Hehehe

I can't wait to see this thing.

if you are pulling the motor out i would invest in getting the crank machined and keyed for a collar to fully engage the stock pump gears instead of torching coin on a HV aftermarket pump. Assuming it hasn't already been done
i had a 1.2mm restrictor in my head and it was roughly 9 secconds at full tilt before the head overfilled and ejaculated into the catch can.
Adding the oil drainback on the back of the head was a marginal improvement in returning oil to the sump, when you really think about, any blow by gasses are fighting the keep the oil from flowing back to the sump, if you place the return below the level of the oil in the pan the it cannot flow down freely either.

dry sump or vac pump is the cure

    Yes, well spotted.

Also his was bought directly in for him from Japan, first owner, then went to Vic. Wondered if it had its way to another owner. His also had ridiculously low km, could eat off of it.

    Great buy.

Arnt the Evo brembo calipers effectively the same as the GTR stuff? Or did only special model skylines get Brembos?

I was wondering this, too. My understanding is that R32 V-specs and all GTRs after that received Brembos. burn4005's certainly has the standard R34 gold Brembos. My 260RS Stagea (R33 GTR running gear) has the black Brembos. Do EVOs run larger/more pistons or larger discs?
