    more like 10-14 days,

unless i'm a deaf cunt it sounded like you said you had trouble sourcing 2" vband assemblies. I now realise what you meant was, this was what we had it the parts bin.

Flinchy, it doesn't say in the vid but the best way to get the bond to break between splines is to loosen the nut off a turn and drive it around for a week. Not a good idea if it a gay VW that has a long bolt going through shaft.
Heating the hub with a torch to open up the gap between the splines doesn't help? obviously not good for the bearings but if you're replacing them anyway not such a big deal. Though I imagine it could hurt any heat treatment on splines if you let too much heat get in it.

Watched Ep 1 and 2 last night, looking forward to the rest of it. Trying to make an 11 second RS liberty sounded like the worst idea I'd heard for a while but EZ turbo is good.

Do scobydoo motors usually sit so far forwards in the engine bay? Heaps of room for doing up gearbox bolts.

    Yep,
Have a look at this gearbox

Front diff and driveshafts are behind the engine, so the whole lot sits in front of the front wheels

I met Marty through the old RSliberty club forum many years ago. Started watching there show, thought it was good, said call me if you want to do something.

Marty is pretty good on the tools, he just doesn't look that way compared to Stints and I. He's a fucking good musician, sound engineer, filmmaker and entertainer though.

So Al how much playing around with these engines had you done before this? Just a case of finding out how what type of sensors for crank/cam etc wire it up and turn the key?

Ep 2 at the end some one did the pinion to steering column bolt up with a rattle gun that is something I would advise against as they should always be checked by hand I could see some dumb shit with a 1 cfm compressor and the thinnest air line with a super cheap gun under torquing the bolt after watching this. Not to mention the stretch over torquing puts on those pissy little bolts, I always locktight and do them up by hand as the are very critical.

SuzukiDave, yeah man, fixed the Vitara. Was a bit disappointed there was no cunt reference on the box or invoice but thanks for discount and promptness.

Perth.jpg, first EZ36 I have played with. Haltech had to write the trigger pattern into the ecu from some scope illustrations out of workshop manual. The EZ30 has the same trigger but with 2 less cam inputs, we always used Vipec on them because the trigger was in the menu.

Rdyno, thanks for the tip, I have never done a bolt up before so will keep that in memory.
