Those are factory fit BBS "Paris" wheels from the XKR, 20" OEM wheels, looks like all they have done is dropped it on it's guts...

Airbagged one would presume, not sure what's to get upset about...

jag is reknown for its heritage lines those 5 spokes even if they are jag just look korean

Old mate is choosing the colours on his new lightweight. These are the final two options. We decided on the darker as his low drag is all a silver-gold already.

Great example of the Gentleman's Racecar look that Jags do so well. Wish I'd gotten to see it on track.

XK motor, looks like an E-Type to me, they flipped the stock exhaust manifolds over to run the pipe over the motor to the turbo.

Pretty whack, but I guess it works...

Twin SU drawthrough too! That would be so shit to drive. Love it.

Retro tech? It's still on SUs! It is lovely though, apart from looking like a bad photochop in that pic.

Did notice that (although he went for his favourite E-type setup), but it's fully factory refurbished, and modernised with newer suspension, air-con, sat-nav, and interior sealing.
Yet has some older touches like the wire spoke wheels, and series 2 door handles and mirrors.
So not quite sure what it might be called.

But what I do like is seeing a Series 3 being reinvigorated, and effectively made new again.

Additionally, Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden's drummer) is an interesting bloke too.
He's loved Jags his whole life (something he inherited from his father, who could never afford one), and it wasn't until around 1987 that he himself had the money to buy one.
He bought two black series 3's - one in England, and the other in the States, as he lived between the two countries.

In the video at the end of the article, you can see him picking up his customised XKR-S ex-works; and how much the whole experience means to him.

I'd go with restomod. I didn't see anything about the suspension being messed with beyond springs and shocks. It's very nicely done though. I wonder if the door seals etc are from an XJ40 or X308? It looks *very* XJ40 from behind with that back bumper.

Can't quiet get that XJ. It's like they wanted to update it but also wanted to backdate it at the same time.
