I'm not entered atm. And would need a decent aero solution for it before Id try that again. It was sketchy as hell at 270 in Temora. The whole car kind of feels like it gets up on its toes over 240.

Hmm sounds fun. I'll be giving it a go in the silvia with zero aero. Won't be seeing the sort of speeds you would though!

That offer is actually pretty tempting.....it won't crack 300kph with 'only' 6xxrwhp though. I want 300, not many can say they have been 300kph in their car

    IS200 - Killdeath edition

There's a Tial genuine 7 psi helper spring in my toolbox ...

It did 263 at Temora on that shitty gravel surface and barely 500hp.

That last 40kph is a bitch and the faster you go the less distance you have left to get there 700+ should do it

Actually I don't think it will?

475rwkw this morning at Toymods Dyno day.

    That was on RR 200.

Tried 150 but it wasn't strapped properly. Then 200, then moved the dyno bed still on rr200 and got 475. Probs would have made more if we'd done it at RR150 like shoot6f is supposed to be.

So to move the suspension discussion to the right place (Sorry Bahaimus) Ill post up the data here.

Last night I had the car corner weighted and Wheel aligned at Heasmans in Sydney.

Doug Heasman did the alignment for 'track'. I have no printout as he doesn't know how to do it - lol, whatever. He said he put about -2 deg camber on the front and max caster. I didn't press him for data on the rear. The young bloke there Jarod is going to dig it up and send to me today.

Corner weights came up better than expected. 53/47 weight distribution and balanced out pretty good with 85 kg of mass in the drivers seat and half a tank of fuel (spare wheel still in).

Took the IS200 over to the NSW Supra Club Dyno day and club Launch today.

A bunch of young blokes has go the group going again and are having regular cruises and events.

Today was at Unique Automotive in Villawood, and for a one model club was very well supported, maybe 30+ A80's supras were there.

I took out highest HP and most torque awards... much to the disgust of the stock twin turbo auto guys who thought they had it stitched up.

The car only put down 426rwkw and 1248 Nm torque (whatever that may mean measured / calculated on a dyno).

There was no way it would hook up, basically blazed the tyres from about 4000 rpm onwards. With the semi slicks you only get one chance then they turn to mush. So it was decided to try the 'fat cunts in the boot' trick and strapped down harder etc, even an assortment of ramp rates, but it just wouldn't play.

Doesn't matter - I know its quick, and its good to get out and support a good event with an enthusiastic group.

    Matt.

    Couple of quick questions,

    1. What did you use for the accelerator cable?

    2. Where did you source the heat shielding for the cable and breathers?

Haha good luck with that. Last time out it won the motorkhana outright, even over a full rally gt4 celica with antilag.
Time before that it came second - behind said rally car.

I'm fucking woefully boring to watch though.
Just turn the track into a series of short straights and tight turns.

The marshals actually asked me to slow down last time, they were concerned at how much speed it piles on between cones !

    About another 100kw.

The throttle cable is a stock one I think. It's been 8 years since any of that was done, so I couldn't say.

Anything important that I want to protect from heat had the sticky reflective foil stuff on it and then a heat sleeve too. Various sizes and brands. Mostly sourced on eBay.

hrmm - wouldn't get too gee'd up about the nats hey,
spoke to the organiser last night and with the numbers expected for the 40th aniversary, it is unlikely to be allowing non toyota powered entries in the motorsports.
You would be able to enter the drags potentially via dubbo car club if you were a member.
and the car could enter the show and shine - eligible under "mixed breed"

    Cheers
    Stew
Keep the shiney side up !!
