I knew what you were making, I was stuck on what you'll be making with what you're making.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

Really? Was it not obvious that he's making bending dies?

Since thundercunt has fucked off out of my shed and it has become apparent that the state of current motor oil pressure doing hot laps at go to whoa idiot light was being lit at idle towards the end.
    When oil was hot.
It is running penrite 40-70 with a bottle of Moreys oil stabilizer so pretty much diff oil viscosity to keep pressure up.

That's with a modded pump (ported and shimmed) and also puking oil out of the rocker cover.

So before yanking pos motor I'm trying to figure out a good pcv system setup for the 55.

I can build custom catch cans that was planning on jamming in behind inner guards and cab to hide and make room for heat exchanger and oil cooler up front.

Ps photographer from the event supposedly got a good pic of this haven't seen it yet but will stick it in here when I acquire a copy.

Nopics was hand holding go pro haven't pulled that off it yet will try when I get home from work.

I need a name change. Like we talked about i think a central breather from intake will help rather than sending it up to the heads.

Yeah always been planing on that. Im hoping i can fit along the lines of 1 1/2- 2 something .
Maybe even also at the fuel pump block off plate.
Will be draining/venting rocker covers to sump with dash 10 or 12 lines so that will help a fair bit too...

Been looking into a smog pump type setup with an electric pump like on a LT1 or some such.

Im sick of it pissing oil out the rocker covers and will be using cast ally covers

Local car show and go to woha is 2 years away and the fact that this thing got beat by a fucking patrol on big 35inch 4wd tires has suitably pissed me off.
OK Patrol with a played with duramax, auto and a coarse that was all up ~80m.

One thing that this ol girl has missed in the options on delivery was traction it would seem... As i could keep the tires lit no problems until i had to throw the anchor out the window hehe was kinda fun though power skidding and certainly surprised a few people . It has p zero pirelli tires on it and really needs something a lot stickier ...

So best thing to do is add more power right

So shit is getting real last pics before all this has started.

Mind the red flecks of orange paint i had just blasted it and degreased it from underneath with the pressure cleaner.

The radiator support has been bugging me for years and is a typical rust spot for these it did get replaced with a better one when it got painted but that was like 17years ago lol.

Since Radiator support needed to come out anyway it made it some what easier to yank drive line...

Hmm a metric fuck tonne of exhaust piping.

After pulling passenger rocker cover and dissy and undoing a few bolts it was very little effort to drop this steaming pile of motor on the ground.

In all honesty if i fixed the oil leak which i found in the end to be the dissy decent set of rocker covers and new cam bearings this thing would be ready for another round....

Ever since i bought this shit box have always wanted to clean up underneath this turd so it has become that time so have even pulled the fuel tank,
Being a country car /Farm ute it had seen its fair share of gravel roads as can be seen by the mud and grime that is still evident.

My ever increasing list of shit to be done...

So what was the tube bender for?

Well after a long hiatus oil pan is getting some love

Setting the height i want was 2 pieces of scrap i had laying on the welding bench which im guessing is 3mm or 1/8. 2 bits stacked looked about right.

Then marked were to make exit.
Drilled hole and trimmed pickup to size hopefully after marking a spot that clears starter enough to be installed.
After thinking about it ill get some female threaded bsp fitting to weld in rather then an12 fitting i was going to use.

Bent up a little bracket that should hold things in place.

Might make another one on the other side and trim the width a little.

Modified the bolt in nature of the whiteline rear sway bar so could use the oem tags on the diff.
Just need to make some rectangular nuts probably weld them into place.
Having to redrill the mounting brackets will have to make a washer type of thing that clamps properly as new holes encroach into supplied bracket holes

The shock flaps im lead to believe were part of the outback pack that was optioned on this shit box from new.

The start of traction and handling aid system bracketry...

More of the sump and oil pickup had a bit more of a chance to do a bit more on the weekend between chores ...

Location of oil pickup and exit.

And have put some sockets in for the breathers from the heads/rocker covers

For the new pipe work i am undecided so have added an extra return point for the scavenge pump/turbo return and easy enough to block unused one.

Oil pump needs some more attention now as pickup has been plugged in the block. So first thing need to make a point suitable for a 12an fitting to be accepted.

Then make a brand new oil pump pretty much never be the same again...by drilling a 22mm hole in it...
    [/url]

Then of coarse drill some more holes just for good measure...

My morse taper drill set goes in 2mm jumps from 14-30mm so my boring head was used to bore a 21mm hole for a 5/8 bspp tap.

Then used a centre punch in the and nopics to hold a constant pressure on the tap so it would tap nice and square.

So was looking good untill uncle bozo come around and made an appearance...so started again on it and drilled and tapped as per last time. But this time used a 6mm end mill to do a lap around the part.

Then just bandsawed the unused section away.

Just had some little bits to clean up with the file and knock off the sharp edges.

Bolted the plate on and ran the tap through to just make sure it is threaded all the way through as i had drilled the housing 22mm it did cut a little bit still.

Just needs to cleaned again gasket / sealant under the plate bit of vaso and can be slapped on the ol bitch.
When i need the full catalogue order of speedflow goodness to be installed it can now be plumbed in 12an hose. As you can see in edo spec pic would only be ~5mm of cast iron so this should help considerably. If all else fails it will look the business i guess.

External pickup like Struggler's engine build thread?

Should go full tilt with adjustable bolt for spring instead of shim.

    Very cool!
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Yes external pickup havent seen struggler's thread though.

Pickup route in the block has like 120 degree bend just before the pump and along with oil pickup not going to work with the girdle.
Was the only logical option have made this sump hold around 7.5 -8 litres so that will be a bonous also.

Yep have been thinking about doing the adjustable bypass along with oil cooler system and a vertical remote mounted oil filter...

Yep they is stupid heads if they weren't so greedy and they charged gold coin amounts a month most people would be happy enough to comply asshats...

Yep you convinced me on the adjustable bypass so went hunting through my pile of imperial shit and found on old arp stud and nut which is 7/16 unf.
Which works out fairly good as the outer of the spring is 7/16. I liked the thought of being able to finely adjust if necessary.

So drilled 9.9mm or my closest to which is a 10mm drill bit and banged a tap through it.

Parted it off to length and made a shoulder that will hold the inner of the spring in place.

Installed the nut on but will need a copper or fiber washer to mitigate it leaking or might make a washer with a recess for an oring.
