Underground Performance in Melbourne, typically known for their MQB work - mostly GTI, R, S & RS3's etc - just completed their first Focus RS. Not bad results for "Stage 1", would certainly keep a few RS3's honest.

Also had Mountune intake & recirculation valve with a Milltek cat back exhaust - 240kw 520nm at front wheels:

210kw atw stock seems a lot, im sure most of the dyno graphs in AU are around 180-190kw.

Good bump in power though, these things need it.

Was looking at the previous model 5 cylinder RS at Parramatta Ford the other day and it highlights how the current model still has the standard width body. The old one looks so much more special to me and the 5 Cylinder
was a ripper even though the new car is clearly superior in every measurable way. Shame the cheapest last shape on carsales is still 33k.

doesnt seem too far stretched - mk7 r/8v s3 audi's have 210kw fly wheel and put down 175kw stock, rs3 is 280kw flywheel and put down about 220 at all four... 257kw fly wheel from an RS with 210 at wheels feels comparatively on the money.

where the ea888 in the gti/r & s3 excels is in the mid range - dont have any graphs with me right now but they'll basically produce 400-420nm at the wheels from 1800 rpm through to 5200rpm. the numbers mightnt necessarily peak as high but the driveability is exceptional, throw in the unbelievable launch control and they're almost untouchable until about 120kmh

This power run was in FWD mode. Expect to see a little less in AWD mode.

    MK2 RS was about aesthetics
    MK3 RS is about performance
    MK4 might combine both

    What was the magic number?
I had my wife's car delivered with 48psi in the rear tyres (205/35/17), and I was terrified putting my face near the wheels while I let the pressure down.

They'll probably hold over 100psi before going pop, ya big sook.

yeah it was high 40s, i dropped em 10psi to see if it makes it better. There's so little sidewall i reckon people who got the 18's and can put some rubber under it might have a better time.

Mine came with 50 psi all around - some say the reason is for transportation, kind of like how they use spring blocks as well.

Tyre placard says F 41/R 38 for light loads and F 46/R 46 if you load the car up.

I've been running F 44/R 41 for 6,000kms and seems okish, its a concession between comfort (hah) and tyre wear.
I drive fairly vigorously and the edges of the tyre always seem to chew out first, leaving lots of mid tread im hoping a little high pressure might help in giving a few extra kms before forking out $1600 in new tyres.

So in other words Barra is still the best Ford engine ever. Got it.

    An alternate view.

Cliffs: a batch of RS cars got Mustang HGs (which are different).

Why would Ford got to all the trouble and expensive of having two different versions/castings of the same engine?

John McGrath Ford in Mitchell (ACT) still have the blue RS on the showroom floor, been there for months, 2017 plate so should be keen to get rid of it...
They have a yellow V8 Mustang there as well

Might help move them if they let you do a test drive.
