Dropped my RS off for the Headgasket replacement on Saturday and took home a TDCi Mondeo as a loan car.

Havent heard anything from them as far as progress, even though I asked them to let me know how the pressure test went, here is hoping it all goes well without any issues.

Now is probably a good time to start looking at tunes.

How'd you go with the HG to4?

The one I am looking at has 850kms on it, but has the below when I check the VIN to get the HG done via here - http://www.etis.ford.com/fordservice...ym.eccvas1900l

    Outstanding Field Service Actions
17B32 - CYLINDER HEAD GASKET REPLACEMENT
We will check for outstanding service actions on your selected vehicle, using your detected country, if this is incorrect you may not see the right information.
We have detected that you are in the: United States
If this information is incorrect, click here to change your country.

Dealer has advised that they can do the HG before we get it (when we get a deal sorted).

Looking at white and black performance wheels.

I've had the RS back since Friday and I was happy to see the tail end of that Mondeo, Not that it was terribly bad, it's just I wanted to fall asleep after 30 mins of commuting.
Apart from a lack of updates from the dealer, it all went well. i've had a decent look over and thrash and everything seems as it was before hand, no real complaints.

Personally, if i was in the market now i would look for a later model 2017 that had the correct HG from factory - but in saying that, i noticed prices at 48K drive away for the non-skookum ones which is cheap!
Forged wheels are a must for amount of brake dust these things make, good choice!

Guy at work just bought his, he was getting quoted ~47k driveaway for the normal one and got the one with black roof and a (better?) diff for ~53k driveaway. Both late 2017 builds that are demos with delivery k's on them.

Whatís the turning circle like on these things? Iíve always stayed interested in them but we have a standard focus titanium at work and the steering circle is shocking and always made me stay away.

If anything the RS will be worse than the standard. Google 'rs turning circle' for plenty of articles on it.

    Spec says 11.8 meters

Handbrake plus drift mode means it turns on its own length.

Nopics has a titanium focus, can confirm shocking turning circle. Our M35 stagea can do a u turn on our street no worries, the focus has to do a 3 point turn. It's like ford slapped 18 inch wheels with 235 tyres under there and then reduced the amount of lock so they wouldn't scrub. I don't drive it that often but when i do, its gets me just about every time trying to forward park the thing, it just doesn't turn as sharply as you would expect. At least with an RS there is some decent performance to make up for the crappy turning circle.

One good thing is itís a 1.9T L2L steering rack, so it's not like you're crossing arms When doing the 3 point turns.

So apparently the turning circle of a PX Ranger is worse on paper than the rs... however i can confirm that my Wildtrak turns a circle WAAAAAAAAAAY better than the RS.

I got my Limited edition for 54k drive away with full tank of fuel and black and white plates. Mines brand new but.
Hoping to pick it up next week if all goes to plan.

I also got 3 years scheduled servicing thrown in for free and it also has the 5 year 200000k warranty.

Even the XR5 had a crap turning circle but that's the point, it should be a fast ratio for handling, not carparking
