Took it for it's first drive today, all good!

Just need to fix a few little details ie speedo, handbrake

Oh, and change out the 2.92 gears for some 3.5's

Riddle me this, Batman. How the fuck am I supposed to bleed the air out of the system when the filler neck is three inches below the top of the radiator???

Where do the head bleeders go?

Also if it's a recovery system it should suck itself full after a few heat cycles

Jack it up in the front right? Seems a bit daft though.

What this cunt said - just run a recovery setup. My cap is below the highest point which is the hot radiator hose. After 2-3 heat cycles it'll push the air out and suck the overflow dry so keep it topped up after each run and it'll be fine. You'll know when it's pushed the air out, your temp gauge wont fluctuate as much.

No air in the head bleeders and fitted a recovery bottle. I'll cycle it a few times and see how it goes. Thermostat seems hell high (90ish?) Going to see if I can source a lower one as the carby isn't going to like it that hot, me thinks

Also got a 28 day UVP that starts tomorrow to cover Xmas testing

Pulled the thermostat today and drilled 3 holes in it. It's an 86 degree one. Took it for a drive and then let it sit idling in my shed (39 degrees in there) for 1/2 an hour and never went over 90, so, that's good.

I've ordered a 1/2 phonelic spacer kit for it just to try and keep some of the heat out of the carby

Went through a local drug testing/rbt set up (we have a festival here this weekend) and, after confirming the UVP, had a crowd of 20 cops gawking at it

What's going on with the rear ride height here, I don't remember this being 4wd height previously.

Yeah, I need to play around with that. I added multi leaf springs from a 69 Camaro when I changed to the ford diff

Drove it 100kms today, all good. The stall converter and tall gears are a bit of a pain (and a bit of a temperature concern) so looking to get 3.5 or 3.7s fitted over New Years. Definately got some go and a heap less of a pain to drive than the 5 speed

Also thoughts on these wheels, please

Also thinking of either ditching the front spoiler or making an alloy, powder coated matt black one that half the height

I like the wheels it currently has. Also, don't retired cops have a special handshake to just get through all that jazz anymore?

First hot day of summer so went and picked the kids up from school (about 50km round trip) was funny watching the other kids and parents reaction haha

Ran really well, had it idling for a while with no problem. Still has the small thermo on it but have a BF one to fit. Also the phenolic spacer arrived but it's a 1" one not 1/2" so back it goes

I've got a new spacer in the shed somewhere but think it might be 1inch also, will have a look tonight as it's just sitting there and not sure I will need it with the EFI set up going on.
