    LS Cressida

Had to have something a little different as a replacement for the Celica and the clubbie will serve well as a track toy, so went with a more straight line/cruiser option.

1991 MX83 Cressida...with stuff eg. decent coil overs and most importantly a LS1 backed by a T56. Found some better wheels, not great but offset for this thing is a bitch for wide wheels with some kind of dish.

    The donk....already removed and tossed.

To be replaced by this....it's a bit naked

I'll have to compile the full mod list but basically iron block, LS3 heads, mild cam, stroker crank, rods, pistons etc.

Some progress to make donk less naked..first up grippy platey thing, courtesy of resident PFer supplier

Followed by whooshy thing on top (I've gone cross eyed from spending ages aiming for perfect alignment)

Plan is still to make Snowy1000 in this but it's going to be really really close

    Cool.

Was it complete and driving when you bought it or is it a unfinished project?

It was a runner. Made pretty decent V8 noises from twin 2.5 into 3 inch system. Also tossed as getting twin 3 inch into single 3.5 inch

alignment meh, its got a rubber band thingie driving it she'll be right. until you add a smaller pulley to run more boost then it will slip like nobodys bussiness. but so will your tyres so it probably won't matter.

E85 will be in the intercooling I have a WI setup but shouldn't be needed on the boost I'll run initially.

Inlet is part of a Magnusson kit, just made the top plate to suit. I'll do this for a 3rd the price of the off the self kits of this size. 2.6 KB BTW.

It lives!! In n/a form anyways. I had to do the first heat cycle on the stock tune. Now to rip all that bridge up off and get the SC on

One one issue I noted? The tension 'grabs' so it moves back and forth a little and chatters on the stop....is this a sign a new tensioner is needed or possibly one of the other pulleys being a bit sticky? They all span fine before moving them across to the built engine

Good chance I'll be going back to turbo Chuck, pm me a price.

So progress today went from not running to running na to not running but with SC 95% done

Not progress over the last couple week seeing I didn't even have a car

A few things still go tidy before worth images s d some things I'll just have to live with that I have inherited from previous owner. The steam ports are shitfull things though, can't make that setup look tidy no matter what?

HA! Nah, I always wondered how the kenne bell's were mounted with the mounting holes on the mating face of the blower?

I always thought blowers mounted up like this:

Those countersunk screws will happily take the heat pumped out from the blower???

They weren't an issue on that particular blower at a million degrees.
