Triton looks like it didn't lock his rear diff, looks, and sounds, like the traction control was doing it's job. Alot of Pajero guys do a mod so the traction control still operates with the rear locker on, rear locker shuts traction control off. I've seen Triton and Challenger guys talking about it but can't recall if anyone has actually done it. Looks like a good track, I reckon my thing would do it easier than the Triton given I've got a shorter wheelbase and more rear flex.

Is this down near Holesworthy end or up near the reactor end?
Thanks man! The sway bars are still all there, he drives it everyday so still wants it to drive nice on the road. This more reactor way (they call it gate 8)

He uses the rear locker on most stuff, but no idea how it works with the traction control. Should he have that off while locker is engaged? This track mainly needs good clearance, and good departure angle.

Mitsubishi switches traction control off when you lock the rear diff, alot of people reckon having the traction control on on the front with the rear locked is the way to go.
I need to find a decent track near me to see how mine goes with diff locked vs traction control on, in saying that in my experience traction control will let you do some pretty silly things.

If you're up for a tag along at Menai give me a yell. I've only had a look in there once and didn't go too far in.

Checked out this place called DIY Auto Garage, a place you can hire a hoiset only $20/Hour...kind of a waste in the 80 tho as thats as high as it goes...did gearbox oil (Castrol VMXM) with Nulon Smooth shift (Much nicer now), front and rear diff oil (Nulon) and transfer case als Nulon. Did the engine oil and filter too.

haha I don't rate swags under a certain temperature, too much condensation ends up making it cold etc.

Some big updates coming for the 80.
Sick of the Flares ripping off when going offroad. Ripped them off and bought some Kut Snak flares...hate the Black on White look (So common) so I got them colour coded. Just got to fit them now.

And the biggest update (For me anyways) is finally investing in some new suspension. The current lift (2" OME) while still ok, is about 10 years old. All the bushes for the standard arms etc are all perished, so took the plunge and got the Superior 4" Lift with SuperFlex arms (and Dobinson Coils). Just waiting for them to be delivered.

That suspension setup looks pretty stout though.

Awesome weekend where we headed to a small farming town called Coonamble on the central-western plains of New South Wales. We headed with the Gone.Bush group to support the drought stricken farmers by delivering a number of Hay Bales, a credit to Laurie and his crew on the amazing work they put in. Great eye opener for myself aswell as my son, to show him how good he has it compared to others and just how dry it is out there.
Thanks to the Farmers who welcomed us and allowed us to camp on their property!
The old girl did 1200km no sweat!

Yeah... that's bullshit... They should have their superflex arms off the shelf for 80's basically! They told you what it is they're waiting for?
