more stuffs going on. of note is the chick who posted up the letter from the council which claimed they had nothing to do with the cancellation of drift events...
fuck wakefield park. they upped their fees so hard that the club i used to go with now have to book through trackschool. in this change, the cost went up by significantly, but we had a low rate for a long time so i figured it was reasonable... or so i thought. turns out the cost is now per driver, when it used to be per car. so if you have two drivers your trackday now costs twice as much for the both of you!
for the cost they charge these days why the fuck would anyone from sydney go there when eastern creek costs similar and is 1000000000000000 times better/closer/etc anyway?
The best thing about Wakefield was you could do passenger laps. Can you do that SMSP at all ?
M-Cars follow the idea that power should be felt & not seen
I have done passenger laps on the south circuit (amaroo) but that was 2 yrs ago.
It was with a club thou.
FOSC do it at lunchtime. That's about it AFAIK Andy
Logical debate beats name calling any day. My Badges Of Honour so far in PF: Racist, Bigot, Islamaphobe, Numpty, Moron, Far Right Wing Nationalist, Far Fight Wing Fascist, "raving fucking lunatic", "dumb" & climate "denier". AND they are just SOME of the pathetic tags that I've been labelled by SOME here. HINT: Those labels are signs that the accusers have lost to logical debate.
Maybe it's time for them to check some facts. Here's a good starting point: http://www.mostdamagingwikileaks.com
End of year xmas party had passenger laps on the GP circuit, been going like that for several years...you pay extra. Instructed track days have 2 people in the car, whether insurance extends to a driver and a passenger, you might seek clarification at the office?

What's a drive at Eastern Creek go for these days? Last Wakefield trip I did was around the $200 mark. I guess the only benefit of Wakefield was it was my first track experience and there was pretty much no chance of binning the car (although in recent times I've seen photos of cars who have run off the track into deep run off and flip cars lol).
ARDC members can do Friday practice days at eastern creek for like $110. Great value. No timing and a bit of traffic but still a hoot.

EC days are cheap if you are an ARDC member. get like two trackdays a year at half price and full price is still ok considering it is a top class circuit compared to wp
pretty hard to swallow paying 250 to go to wakefield park when you then also have to factor in fuel/accom and the cost of a tow if you break shit.
More on the drifting saga. Looks like they are flip-flopping over the reasons for the drifting ban due to the backlash they are copping. Apparently it isnt about noise any more (surprise surprise) but rather about "damage to the track" and "competitor behaviour" which sounds a lot like a thinly disguised "we don't like your type 'round here"

Following a number of speculative posts on social media regarding the status of drifting at Wakefield Park, we would like to clarify and reiterate some facts.
Firstly, we are not “totally opposed” to drifting events being conducted at Wakefield Park, and we are investigating possibilities through which drifting may be able to return to the venue in the future.
However there are some obstacles that would need to be overcome in order for drift-type events to be held at the venue. These include:
• Noise emanation
• Management of driving standards and competitor behaviour
• Ensuring the activities do not damage the circuit or surrounds, including track edges
Wakefield Park has already been directly contacted by potential promoters of drift-type events and other promoters are welcome to contact the Wakefield Park office for discussions.
Unfortunately, comments have been posted on our social media channels which are factually incorrect or which may bring Wakefield Park into disrepute, and while we appreciate the passion of these individuals, we encourage them to direct enquiries through our private communication channels, as public misinformation does nothing to help the cause.
Ha wing just parted out a s13
And dealing with the ear vagina Croud/ drifters
I understand wake fields decision
Or may be I am just becoming a grump old Kunt like them
Check out my shit for sale on facebook:
did lol at ole mate Kyle Wilmington who had this tattooed on him...
Drifters are easily, by far the most cunty of clientele a circuit will see; Its a given, loose cunts driving loose cars.
But I can't fathom to see why they can't manage it?
Its a piss poor excuse essentially, if they thrash the track and are dicks let them know, raise the price and make it known the promoter has to control his event or he can get fucked.
Sounds like old cunts being old
Be fucked if i'd rent my track for budget price to a bunch of cunts that are going to do skids coming and going to the event, tag anything a paint marker will stick too and think they can do anything because they "paid for the track Bro' "
Was at WP on the weekend and they have active noise monitoring at turn 2 now. Fucking thing triggers a camera if you are over the limit and takes a speed camera style photo which they will track you down and warn/send home accordingly.
Apparently at the moment they are only issuing warnings. But the system will go live in the new year.
I think they're just being super racist against hondas.
Harsh noise regs seem to be a fact of life in many overseas tracks, so it's probably only a matter of time.
...except for SMSP of course, because any local resident that can put up with the smell of the rubbish dump, probably isn't too fussed about noise

I would have thought though the local council would have more say about the track than NSW State Gov?
