Like the Morningside Monaro. Old mate got so sick of people asking to buy it that he rattle canned "NOT FOR SALE" down the side of it.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. That thing looks almost beyond repair.

It does now, but 12 years ago when i first moved into the area it would have been saveable.

NFI. No one I know is enough of a Monaro-tard to go hassle him and about it. Likes the lawn art?

That's probably one third of the total amount of Figaros ever made.

Is that Monaro still there? Far out. I was just talking to someone about that last week! By the way that car transporter shot is one of the best I've seen.

    This.
If your not in need of money why should you be compelled to sell it because its your lawn ornament?
I reckon most of the people who stack cool shit 10 high and let nature take its course refuse to get rid of it for sentimental reasons, they don't give a fuck for what you think, the excuse is always the same but deep down they like knowing they like the fact they own it - that it may be rusting to bits doesnt matter.

Is it really any worse than having a mint condition example locked in a garage never to be driven?

A lot of the common pictures are compiled here on these links:

I know some of the pics are after a tornado went through some sheds in the US so hardly abandoned.

    Yeah I get that.
Just seems a real shame to let something completely rot away at the chance of having it back it's glory or at least pass it on to someone who might appreciate it. Especially old Monaros, valliants falcons etc.

    You're probably right though.

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.

Probably better off finding one, detailing the fuck out of it to make it look shiny, put the snappiest suit you have on, throw australian plates on it with fake RTA documents and pretend to be a wealthy sir travelling the globe in your enzo*

assuming they're left with the keys in them

now you just need to somehow get it into europe and you're home free - chuck the durka plates back on it with some fake durka sales papers, get it MOT'd and registered in the uk, get legit UK papers/plates for it and keep it here for a year and then legitimately ship it back to australia

*maybe don't use a car which can be identified by build number

Last I read, the exclusion zones around Fukuskima are gradually getting smaller.

Such an unfortunate thing to happen.

Given that it's China, that makes sense ... the alleged criminal having been shot & buried, their trial has probably been de-prioritised.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Even though this isn't as high-end a car as others, it makes me doubly sad when it's
clearly not too far gone, and could easily be brought back from the brink..
