    PTE6870 on stock LS2

Ok so i accidently deleted my post in the other thread by trying to copy/paste..

My mate has a stock LS2 VZ Maloo and has previously had cranky LSx powered cars and is a bit over cammed up bullshit

I was thinking slapping on a Precision 6870 with Vband manifold and going 8psi into the stock motor

Im a bit confused about rear housings on a 6L motor.. do you just go massive so the motor can breathe? Cos the housings available go upto 1.32

Other thing is, 6boost wanted 1600 or 1800 bucks for the passenger side manifold.. which was more expensive than my 6cyl RB26 one?

Not sure best fueling solutions either.. do Commos have twin pump hanger solutions off the shelf?

Also what injector size should he be looking at? ID1000 - ID1300? Something to give scope for more power in the future

thats a big $$ turbo to be using in the wrong application IMO. I'd go BW S366 or something instead.

S471/475 would be alright as well. Go straight to 2200cc injectors as well.

Why does everyone think everything needs 2000cc injectors?

1000cc are fine, 1300s if you ever think it will see ethanol.

    Your tuner will thank you.

Thats considerably larger than the 6870.. Out of interest why would you recommend a 80mm turbo for a low boost street setup?

Car is also an auto, and he doesnt want to run a massive stall

2200cc x8 seems like a fuckload of fuel for something that is likely to make 550-600whp? Doesnt make sense

S366 is 66mm, same as what psi999 has on his 1uz bluebird. Physically it's a tad larger than a 6870.

I was making that power through an auto on e85 with 1000cc injectors.

    S366 with .91 rear & 3500ish converter on my 1uz boosts like a T28 on an SR20. Very happy.

6L with 1.00 (or 1.10) and slightly higher stall would basically feel N/A. would be a nice street combo.

Theres a thread in street cars about my VY, have a look at that cause its about what you're trying to achieve.
GT4094 - roughly same size as S366. 6870 etc. 1.06 rear but id go bigger if i was doing it again.
1000cc injectors, 2x walbro pumps. I think ASE might make twin hanger stuff, im using a surge tank and external pumps.
11psi 434rwkw E85, its killer on the street.

I run an S475 on my LS, freight trains from 4k or so. S366 sounds like a good fit in my mind for a street car.

    Cheers lads

Just had a squizz at your thread Rotor7, that's an excellent setup to copy - awesome placement of the surge as well

The more I think about it, the more I agree that an expensive Precision or similar is probably just pissing money away for no reason.. massive motor and an auto sorta removes the need to have the most high-end shit available

should have my cammed ls1 + s475 with 12psi back from MPW in a few weeks hopefully. will let you know how it goes.

they did a very similar combo but with a turbonetics 69mm snail which reeled off 419 at the rears.

Been looking into the newish bw s369 for my hv8 355.

OK I won't see the full potential of the upper boost numbers but think it could work well in my application.

Has a 80mm turbine so should flow a bit better then the 366 at 73mm

The compressor map is also a fair bit wider also.

yohoes- mine made 380kw on 10 psi. we agreed that if it was still alive after it went down the strip a few times it would get 12psi. cunt of a thing did a big end bearing. really wanted to crack the 400kw figure but it wasn't meant to be.
