Great purchase. I love my sport bikes but the streetfighter is definitely the go to bike. Much easier on the body and easier to chuck around. Was an absolute weapon around tassie!!

    Cheers, I'm loving it.

Currently trying to hold back from buying an exhaust. It's heaps quieter than the 899 was and probably on par with my evo.
Apparently removing the cat for $150 gives you almost exactly the same sound/flow as a $2000 system. Might need a tune though so I'm not rushing any dicking around.

Removing the cat requires cutting it off if you don't replace the whole front half. If you don't care about retaining the stock exhaust for later, probably not an issue.

Hacked up systems to get more noise is equivalent to dropping the rear muffler off your moo mang. Don't tight arse out on an exhaust when you happily spent tens of thousands on the bike.

    $1500 AUD + $72 to ship it (cheap shipping!) - http://emlineamoto.com/en/s-b10r2-rc...oogle-Shopping
Titanium version is another $1k though!

Wow, that's actually a really good price. It's an Italian site - will I ever get the actual product? :P

That is a decent price for the whole thing. Usually you'd be paying close to that just for the can. And I think that site is one of the recommended places from the S1000R forums.

Went to purchase, pay pal said transaction failed, pick another way to pay. FFS, I have the worst luck with websites. I'll try again later.

I've bought plenty of stuff from Italy, usually it arrives faster than if I ordered it in Australia! (same goes for Germany, USA etc). I did a quick Google and found that and yes was off an S1000 forum.

Site still won't work so I've emailed them. Hopefully I can get it from them because it seems to be hundreds cheaper than the US sites (and Revzilla won't sell akra to Aus either).

Did it, it worked. Full system (with the longer muffler and db killer because it's slightly less offensive on the noise front) on the way.

Good man, I buy shitloads of stuff from OS and all over the place so happy to help if you need it again. Currently waiting on Fehling Crash bars from Germany via a seller who when asked would not ship to Aus, but fuck that guy German freight forwarding the rescue, my carbon was all from Italy, decals from Malaysia, pillion block offs also from Germany, something else I can't even remember on there from Spain. Lots of bargains out there just have to dig sometimes.

I buy heaps overseas too but I usually stick to USA and UK. It didn't come up in my googling either so I must've missed it.

I had the obligatory crazy Leb out the window at the lights "Bro, nice bike! Do a wheelie!". I was thinking, unless you want to call the ambo now and wait with me beside the road, probably not a good idea.

Oh come on, the bike isn't going to learn to wheelie itself

When I take it in for the first service, they give you full amount of revs and use of the dynamic pro mode, then you don't have the wheelie control. Saying that, it'll still be a little while before I find a empty industrial estate and start practising.

They don't fit the Dynamic Pro plug anymore. You have to do it yourself. It's easy enough though.

I ordered the glossy carbon tank cover for this - probably the only piece of bling apart from different levers that I'll bother with. I think the tank cover really improves the look.

Still waiting for my exhaust to ship, farkin. Shifty Italian guy said this week for sure. He better, farkin.

I considered that cover but I have a Wunderlich tank bank that would just cover most of it anyway. Still considering carbon fenders but can't really justify the cost for a bit of bling at the moment.

I got mine from motocomposites.com - less than $300AUD delivered. It's carbon/glass mix but looks the exactly the same and buttloads cheaper than others.

Fenders would be nice but then where do you stop?...

You stop when there is nothing left to buy or you run out if money, whichever comes first. So in your case, when there is nothing left to buy. I can be your moto bling spirit guide.

The more money I spend on the bike, the less I have for loose women.

Exhaust has been shipped. Might even get BMW to fit it at the 1st service - depends how lazy I am at the time.

Lovely. Even I am not so lazy or incompetent that I don't fit my own exhaust (and I am pretty incompetent and lazy!)

Got the tank cover on there. Pretty happy with it - fits well and easily. About to start on the exhaust but I need a 10mm torx ring spanner which I haven't found yet. I'll try another place tomorrow.

BMW make good bikes, i got one cause the cbr600 made me hate riding. Mostly because it's commuting and around the city. Went F800st and haven't looked back.

LOL your tank cover is on the wrong end of the tank to protect it from your jacket zipper. Get one for the right end too pretty boy.

Oh my bad, I'll quickly run and change it.

It has that clear plastic you can't see around the back of the tank and other parts of the bike.
