Need to fit a 3ph motor though. That Canadian makes great videos.

Thats precisely what I have purchased, a 10 gallon tank sandblaster. It really is only for bits and pieces here and there.

I have an air compressor shed build in the making atm but too lazy to take pics. Actually more due to my phone camera having shat itself...

    Rust!

Seriously the cunt that owned this before me had no clue how to deal with rust. They used a strategy that involved a combination of cocky shit welding of uneven steel and metric fuck loads of bog.

The more piss I drink the more I enjoy it though, so I guess I just need to drink all these speed bumps away.

Your work is really neat. not sure how much you have to go but one of these would have been nice for that corner.

    I've seen worse.

Remove the roof skin & 1/4 panels - it's the only way you'll totally fix that rust.
Then send it all off to get blasted.

Has been a shit year for work on the torry, have in the last month started getting back into the shed. I have modified some Mcdonald Bros upper arms. They sell a HK-HG upper arm with the intention that it also is a swap for the UC upper arm with offset ball joint. Unfortunately it is not a great match and uses a gemini press in top ball joint which is poo. I wanted to run the standard bolt in ball joint so I can use a taller camaro balljoint to assist in getting some more caster. I have some UC upper arms which I used to make a jig, and then cut up the McDonald arms and made up a couple of new ball joint plates out of 4mm to suit the bolt in arrangement.

Quickly put it on for a test fit tonight and it looks pretty good.

Also I managed to make a start on a new gearbox cross member. I am reinforcing the floor so that I can bolt it directly to the floor which will provide much more clearance for the exhaust later on.

Next step is finish crossmember, and work out lengths for coil overs and order those so I can start making the shock mounts.

Sucks about the Mac Bros arms. Ryan at United Speed Shop in Newie has launched his new Magnum control arms for Torries. He doesn't have them on his site yet but these are the HQ-WB ones to give you an idea of what he's offering:

    https://unitedspeedshop.com/collecti...r-control-arms

He will also have a full Magnum IFS front-end set-up for LX-UC Torries with new rack, Baer brakes, tube arms, etc.

This is his current range - he's just been too busy to update his site. https://unitedspeedshop.com/collecti...ion/magnum-ifs

Ill be using the .900 longer balljoints put the .500 longer version in worked well and could be tempted to part with.

I did consider using those arms, great value for money. I've fitted the .500 taller ball joints to mine, I don't think I could go taller as it may bind before reaching full compression.

Should have welded the plate in at an angle!
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

I just replicated the uc arm angle but in hindsight if i had made it flat it would have been a little better. Having said that the way it is now is fine I only wanted to go .500 taller anyway.
