Jordy won't get anywhere near Ray on a big hp track. He's punching way above his weight in the Cibic but National level outright is a big ask of an Unders car...

Barney - i find your Crocs way more offensive that the fact you'll be driving it from the wrong side of the car. Get your shit together man, geeez.....

Yeah they are kind of cool but ugly lol
I imported it as a racecar but as per ususal the US standard wasn't overly high and didn't meet the required CaMS specs so I stripped and started again.
It's coming along nicely, just need to be careful I take my time and do it right the first time and use the good components. I don't want to rush it just to finish only to have to do things twice.
Hoping it looks good on the track, I think it will

We are about to Build the Engine and Suspension. Ash has been sorting all the fiddly stuff like fuel tanks etc. Mid 2018 first run I guess with 2018 SA Nats the target to have it sorted.

Great, I'd love to see pics when you've got time; you guys always seem to screw together some well thought out bits of gear.

    Nice build!

Were they sold as LHD in Australia, or did you get "CAMS discretion" for it to be eligible for IPRA?

They were Group A homologated - anything that's Group A homologated is legal in IPRA.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

    Picking the car up today.
Had the new fuel tank made, with the new rules it requires special mounts and straps, all the pumps and filters mount to the tank, has in built surge tank. Also had the rear calipers mounted, that required a new plate to be lazer cut so we could use the NASCAR dog bones.

Man i forgot how expensive it is to build a racecar.
Just the hose and fittings for the tank and the hardline in the car to firewall bulk head is just over $1000................ Thats not including fitting it that just the parts, add the pumps, filters and tank costs the fuel system will be $5000 :-(
