If it does come out, hope it looks like the prototype. Not like the 86 where they had one of the few protos that looked bombed and then released something a bit more tame.
Can't see it making it's way to AUS/Japan that quickly though, given it is a Toyota US project?
The only thing that article has correct is that BMW and Toyota are platform sharing the next Supra/Z4.
The AE86 will still be a budget car. The Supra never was and won't be. Better question will be where in the US market will it be placed not to eat into Lexus coupe sales.
More like 80K I reckon.
Surely this will be GTR priced, if not 911 Turbo priced.

Even the Nismo model is only $227k. Base level is now "Premium" at $189k.
A long way short of $250k!
Toyota would like to be aiming to for the Supra to compete with the GTRs.... but it does seem like a long shot considering GTRs these days.
I reckon Supras will be priced around M3 money ($140k)

Will it be more than a retail priced Ferrari? Which I also cannot afford. Pal.
Looks good though.

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.
Destined to fail like all the AU delivered Supras.
Z4's arent pricey but considering the hybrid and engine technology the Supra will have + 2dr Tax, Id be suprised if they were anything less than $89K plus onroads
Surely not. The market for six figure sports cars is tiny, but there is almost nothing in the $60-100k range. That would be the sweet spot to target IMHO: basically people who have an 86 and now have more money/people who might have bought a Z if they weren't a decade old.
What? The Clubsport is $70-80k. Only the GTS is over $100k and I doubt many actually pay that price as plenty of new stock listed for ~$90k.
If in doubt power out
People forget that $150-200k isn't that much money these days, especially with lease rates at very low levels. There is a huge amount of wealth in major cities such as Sydney and Melbourne, particularly given the rise in house prices.
