You wonder whether the likes of Loeb and Ogier were really that good to win so many titles on the trot or if the competition has slackened off compared to the glory days of Sainz, McRae, etc.

Decent shunt in the first stage has cancelled it. Looks like a spectator has been hit

Spectator reported to have been killed. Tragic event. Sad for the driver.

Absolutely retarded place to spectate. WTF was he/she thinking. Needless loss of life and trauma for the driver.

Official word at present is that he has "passed out". Nothing further.

    yeah...

    Spectator statement:
"We were just ten meters higher in the special stage. We had seen the guy post his Go Pro on the road and climb up one meter in the embankment, " testifies for the DH Romain. "We all shouted at him and told him not to stay there. It was thought that after two cars he would realize that he was badly put ... When Paddon arrived, the car slipped, squatted before the left and tapped the slope. The guy was broke, crushed by the car before flying and dropping his head down on the road.

Feel sorry for Paddon and his Co driver. But the spectator clearly had a death wish..

FARK. We were watching the youtube videos several times this morning, I thought the guy might have been perched on the rocks and slipped down. Didn't think that he might have been hit and killed.

    RIP Darwin award nominee.

So good to be able to watch this on Redbull TV in decent quality instead of shitty SD whenever commercial stations get around to showing it. Can't wait till F1 does something similar.

Wrc+ is quality. Only $7 or $8 a month. Looks like ogier will win it, Malcolm Wilson actually looked happy for a change!! M-sports first win in 5 years if he keeps it the right side up.
