These are a good thing - had one for a while & my wife used it to practice road riding. Sold it for what I paid to the first guy that turned up.

They can do wheelies too if you sit on the back and stand on the foot pegs

Sad to say I've owned both the 1st one and the current one

I saw some crazy vietnamese people pulling wheelies and doing really dumb shit on scooters during my holidays in vietnam. but yea, a few on scumtree with very low km's but I would like to get one that i could offload and not lose money if it was was too much of a struggle going uphill (my suburb is hilly)

A pcx150 has plenty of guts

Trust me, I'm fat and hills were zero issue

The only thing it does not do well is freeway at max speed, and that's not because it hasn't got the power, it's because the rev limiter kills the fun at just over 100km/h depending on early or late model

Early model was faster, late model is better because all led lighting, better seat, bigger fuel tank.

Compared to anyother 125/150 class scooter the pcx is heaps better it's got 10kw and much smoother running water cooled engine compared to some of the other shitboxes in class, of which I've also owned

LOL at that scooter vid, basically what I used to do (or try to) at every light on the way to work with my big bore kitted 50cc. Load them up on the brake and wheelie away, his looks extra fast though!

update - test rode a pcx, it's a bit wide for me to have my feet on the ground comfortably. I am 163cm, used to ride 600-1000cc bikes for about 10 years and when i am stationary i could only manage to have 2 toe on the ground because im a short cunt. can't be fucked with that anymore.

looking at aprilia mt125s now, they seem smaller but again a bit worried it might not make it up the slope.

Nah dude trust me they are shit, I used to have the sport city 125 (same scoot before the ugly update) and don't confuse that with the sport city that's Italian and water cooled which I also had the 200 and 250

I've had a lot of scoots...

The Chinese Aprilia is a shit Chinese 2v air cooled engine

Piaggio fly is miles better and leads that class

Still seat heights will all be similar

Many years ago I havd a Vespa and cut the springs it was low and fast

Very fast, faster in fact than my Vespa GTS300 super and they go alright for a scooter

But it was 2 stroke manual and not suitable as a daily

They are weak as piss, the small wheels probably mean you'll end up on your arse by about 4 weeks in... Just get a CB250 and you're done... you can pick them up for like $1000-2000 with plenty of rego these days...

yep might need to go the cb250 route, was trying to avoid manual bikes. but you can't get anything well priced and aren't shit like a honda.

yea nah Groms are a novelty bike - would get fucked by a truck for doing 60 on the freeway

Only scooters you'll probably find in the price range of a cb250 are those shitty Kymco ones...

Get a manual bike, man, trust me... It's not that much of a burden...
